I have managed to soft brick my phone (its in a boot loop where the LG logo appears, then goes to a striped screen, then back to the lg logo, and on and on) and I cannot get into recovery using the Pwr on, Vol down, wait 3 secs and then release Pwr on and press Back & Menu buttons.

From the research I have been doing, it seems I need to put the phone in Fastboot mode before I can push a backed up image to it.
Is this correct?
If so, how do I do it, I can't seem to find much about that.

Thanks in advance

This phone doesn't have fastboot. You need to have some patience. Keep trying and trying and trying. It can be frustrating but eventually you'll get into recovery.

I have never had a problem before getting into recovery using the keys.

On a side note, ADB does not detect the device, any suggestions on what to do?

Edit:- the LG Support Tool recognizes the device, but ADB does not. That seems a bit strange :\

That might just be your only option, I had a similar issue where I couldn't even access recovery because the logo started bootlooping a few seconds after powering on the device, not even enough time to get into recovery, so I was forced to flash a .kdz to restore my device. Good luck tho, it'll take a while to understand it all at first but it'll be so easy once you get the hang of it. Also if you can learn the .kdz method on this device, you pretty much know how it works for other LG's using .kdz files. My newest device requires that I flash a moddified .kdz to get my bootloader unlocked to begin with, the process seems much easier to me since I already bricked my E739 in the past and was forced to learn whatever I needed to know to bring it back from beyond the grave. (yay zombie phone)

Does anyone know if Erikmm / Beastmode was able to get Slimbean working for our device?
I have been reading through this thread & have found some early testing going on, but cant find whether it was successful or not.

Why would you go back to Recovery after a Factory Reset? Pretty pointless, IMO.
But that's okay, noob issues i suppose.

Anyways, since you can't get into Recovery or you apparently don't know how to do it flash sdk. Simplest option to get your phone back i suppose.

2、Connect your device to your PC, Run UnlockRoot.exe,
