Why are there two KDZ at this link?

By the way, I made a thread with this Oreo download and gave you credit.

I uploaded only one file and at least for me it starts downloading just one file.
Thanks for creating thread for it :good: I'm too busy myself to follow up this forum now days.

Since no-one has said it yet, this version does neither supports Project Treble nor seamless system updates.

(edit: cleared up to avoid confusion)

Thanks for the info man!

Now a question for everybody.
If something goes wrong, let's say my phone won't turn on after the update, what's the procedure to get it up and running again? Just flash my old firmware? Would any of this affect the internal storage (data/media)?

Where did you get the information that it Support Project Treble ?
I checked it
And guess What? No Treble Support.

That's what he said, no Treble support. I possibly would have put the word "neither" before the word "support", but it's still grammatically correct.

That is some wild news, but confirmed by others:

Can I re-flash this variant over V11m-HKG-XX /V30+DS/

Thank you
Answer by myself is - YES !!!!!! its awesome

Hong Kong H930DS can be flashed with H930 Oreo. I know in the past Hong Hong H930DS could be flashed with India H930DS firmware -- but that was because they were the same model number. Now we are getting into wild territory.

Just last week someone with US998 flashed Verizon Oreo KDZ and it worked. We now have several people with "Verizon" US998. It identifies in About Phone as VS996 (Verizon V30 model number).

What does YOUR phone now say in About Phone? Does it say H930 now or still H930DS? Tapatalk now says you have H30:

Well I have a H930D which is from Middle East (UAE), so what do you think, should it work anyway?

I have no answers right now. This shouldn't have worked. Just like flashing Verizon Oreo over US998 shouldn't have worked. We've been told cross flashing firmware is no longer possible. The only answer is Hong Kong H930DS and European H930 must share the same RSA key?

Just like Verizon/US Cellular/open market US998 must share the same RSA key. Because the first guy who flashed Verizon over his US998 successfully then tried to do the same with Sprint KDZ and he bricked his phone. So, Sprint has a different RSA key, apparently. Several people have successfully flashed the Verizon Oreo KDZ over US998, so we know that wasn't a fluke.

Bricked in what way? Did he get it up and running by flashing the appropriate firmware again?
