Chazz sorry if u have already answered to this quest, and I'm sure that it is. I would use G wallet, but i don't pass the safety net.
Is There a way to have it, but keeping the root?
(I'm on Pie stock+magisk+Lsposed+gravitybox)

Ok thanks.I know what used to work but I haven't kept up with latest versions of Magisk. On my current phone I'm having to use an older version of Magisk to "hide" status from apps.
Ok thanks.
Can you tell me what version do you use?
And is not the bootloader unlocked critic for pass the safety net?
Historically there’s also been a feature called MagiskHide that attempts to trick certain apps into not realizing that your Android device has been rooted, which will prevent Google’s SafetyNet from kicking and stopping you from streaming video from certain apps, using certain banking apps, or running other applications that might not ordinarily work on rooted devices.
But since Wu now works for Google and has access to most Android source code, he acknowledges that it would be a conflict of interest for him to continue developing MagiskHide, so it will not be a feature included in the official builds of Magisk moving forward.
Thank you for all.On my bootloader unlocked/rooted Galaxy Note 9, I'm using Magisk 23.0. It still has MagiskHide.
The bootloader unlock is necessary for being able to root, which is basically giving you admin privileges, to install/uninstall anything you want.
In the old days, SuperSu then gave Androids root, after bootloader unlock. Magisk then came along (different dev) and SuperSu stopped being developed for other reasons. The Magisk developer kept pace with Google and other apps attempt to detect/block people from actually owning their own phones (being admin, just like on your home PC).
Carriers (control freaks), game companies (for cheating), banks (for potential fraud) want your phone to stay locked down. Whereas I want root, because it's my phone and I have useful apps that require admin access.
Magisk in the beginning not only gave root, but was like a magic cloak that hid root. But then it became cat and mouse game. Google started Safety Net as a test for devices. So Magisk added the ability to choose apps from a list you REALLY wanted to hide root from, called MagiskHide.
So, then Google hired this guy to help them find vulnerabilities and to stop him from making it the best it can be.

Thank you for all.
But sorry if insist: on lg v30 pie stock with unlocked bootloader and magisk (old version if necessary), is there a way to pass safety net?
Ah, it's a shame. So thank you again for the time!I'm sorry, someone else will have to answer as I was forced to move on to a different rooted phone for my carrier, for VoLTE . Both 2G and 3G is being shut down in the the U.S. and the US998 V30 was not eligible for VoLTE with AT&T.
I can't answer for stock pie, but I pass SafetyNet on my V30 with LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) and Magisk 22.1 (not that I need versions that old. I just haven't bothered to update either in two years).Thank you for all.

Hi ChazzMatt and sorry for the inconvenience.
A few years ago I read, perhaps I misunderstood not knowing English,
that there is a *.zip to remove the boot animation on startup for the Lg V30 H930.
I am attaching the picture of what I want to remove.
Confirm its existence and if it exists could you link me.
Thank you.

Thanks ChazzMatt. Installed and works great.Message from PM, but I prefer to answer in public thread to also help others.
That's the "scary" unlocked bootloader unlocked warning. This is what you want:
LG V30 Unlocked Bootloader Warning Disabler
It was a flashable zip file from ROM Dev Aeronliru, a.k.a. AeronLee:
=======
Unlocked Bootloader Warning Disabler
Compatible with H930, H930D, H930DS, V300, H933, US998, LS998, VS996, H931, T-Mobile H932 with both Pie & Oreo firmwares. CHECKED!
=======
There was a dedicated thread for this mod. The developer asked me to post it to help people -- but then he left the community and asked me to remove it. I did.
However, someone found you could still access the original post with downloadable zip attachment in the Internet Wayback Machine (which shows historical posts).< That is the post where it's discussed in that thread. If you click on the link in that discussion, you should see the original post with attachment. (You may need to disable any VPN to access the historical thread in the Wayback Machine.)
I am still honoring the Dev's request, as I removed the attachment -- but if people can still access it in other ways I can't stop them. All credit for this mod goes to genius Aeronliru, a.k.a. AeronLee.
There's a dozen Trouble Shooting Tips in the WTF Bootloader Unlock Instructions to help you. Common scenarios others have encountered. You read those?Hi. I used the new_unlock.bin provided there but it shows me this error:
FAILED (remote: 'Error!! Wrong Bootloader Unlock key: 3006')
fastboot: error: Command failed
Do NOT use Uppercut. Nowhere in the WTF Instructions do I say to use Uppercut. Uppercut is obsolete. Doesn't work on Oreo or Pie.Ok sorry I rushed into it.
So I'm on Pie and my version is H93031a.
The problem is that when I try to downgrade it using UPPERCUT (which strange enough shows up as LG UP after opening it), of course using the kdz that was provided in the instructions, I get the error below.
Anyway, from what I see it is an error related to the firmware version that doesn't match my phone's.
On the LG firmwares page I see my version but it only appears as Pie. Yours is Oreo but it stucks at 4% and shows the error below when I try to "upgrade" it so I don't know what to do.

I've been running it over a full day now, debloated and tweaked a bit. RCS and VoLTE is working after ##72786# and a PRL and profile update. Thanks again!
Sent from my LG-LS998
Due to the July 2018 LG security patch blocking the WTF bootloader unlock exploit, I've added instructions in post #1 of US998, H930 and India H930DS Oreo KDZ threads to use dev patched LGUP to downgrade to earlier versions of KDZ in order to use this WTF bootloader unlock exploit. You can always update to newer firmware AFTER bootloader unlock.
I've also updated the instructions in this thread to include references to the July 2018 security patch situation.
Your the man! Followed your exact steps. It worked. I now have twrp and unlocked bootloader on my ls998(converted to us998). Thanks for this![]()
I actually don't see an LG G4 unlock.bin in that thread. I see someone asking for one. Somebody supplied one from an M8, but I don't see one from an LG G4. OR if they did, they edited off, back in 2015. So, where did you find it? Which post?so, i search on google lg unlock.bin
i found lg g4 unlock.bin in this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/unlock-bin-t3158596
Wait. You flashed an Huawei M8 unlock.bin code onto an AT&T LG V30 H931 and UNLOCKED the bootloader? After of course crossflashing H930 Oreo KDZ and basically bricking your phone.
The only reason I halfway believe this is because the guy with the rooted H932 in China is running Galaxy 8 TWRP with parts of H930 flashed over the phone.
And because you were one of the first to crossflash your phone in this forum. So, you know what you are doing.
___________
So, how does your phone identify now in About Phone? H930 or H931? Or Canadian H933 (which you had cross flashed to earlier.)
In LGUP, in download mode, how does it identify? Even after I flashed US998 over LS998 (Frankenstein thread), in download mode with LGUP, the phone still showed as LS-998.
