Yup, I just did a factory reset and reconfigured the watch. It it sitting on the dock now for about a half an hour, still no update prompt. Will report back if the situation changes

Same here, did the factory reset, it's fully charged and on the dock, still nothing.

I kinda doubt that this method works.
Well, for the last update, I figured I should try the factory reset method (I was at work without a charging dock), but when the watch booted afterwards, it somehow already had the update installed. :p

I hadn't gotten any prompt asking me about upgrading before that, but I am not 100% sure that the watch hadn't updated itself on the charger during the night before, I didn't check the version number before the factory reset.

It was weird. I've been using Android since 1.0 and Android Wear since 4.4W.2, so I thought I knew Android inside and out, but still, I have no explanation for what happened.

It will just fail? How should i get the update? Reflash my current rom and then try the ota?
In fastboot, flash the factory images for system and recovery and boot.
Reboot into recovery then adb sideload the update above.
Then boot her up - welcome to Marshmallow ;)

I tried to flash in twrp without doing anything be4 and it worked like a charm i did loose root thou but im thinking it should just be to reflash supersu.zip in twrp and it should be rooted again?
