This should be interesting. I just mailed my V10 in for boot loop repair. With this lawsuit now out, I wonder if they'll offer a free repair. I need to have a phone so I picked up a V20 while I wait for the V10. I really hope LG has resolved those issues. I really like the Vx0 line of phones, but they have to be reliable.

Well, this blows. My V10 has decided it's time to never boot past the LG logo. I bought it in November of 2015 so I'm well out of warranty. I filled out the online form at lgmobilerepair. I don't like that I have no idea what they're going to charge. Do they contact you before doing the repair as to cost? I don't mind $70 but no way do i want to pay $300+.

Also, in the shipping instructions they say "Please visit your local FedEx store to ship your package". I'm guessing that's for people that received shipping labels from LG? What if I don't want to use FedEx.
It'll cost you $72 for LG to repair it.

My V10 is on it's way back to me. The RA email says:

Defect:
Power-No power with cable

Warranty Status:
In Warranty

I guess the warranty was extended for certain issues? I was not charged for the repair. I uploaded my receipt and specified the purchase date when I initially filled out the form for repair.

I'm pretty happy with the service. Happy with the new V20 too but didn't really expect to purchase a new phone just yet..

Hi, i recently got mine fixed by LG by a repair company. I didn't pay anything. I just talked with the LG support chat and explained the situation, then they told me to send a mail via LG contact form. I got than a mail back with a shipping PDF. I send my V10 via DHL to that repair company and after a week or so I got my V10 back with a new motherboard.

I am from Germany.

Doing it through T-Mobile likely won't get the problem fixed you just get a refurb that hasn't necessarily gone through any repairs. I'd do it through LG or upgrade to another phone (v20 most likely won't experience this issue since it's a whole different chipset) of course I wouldn't blame you switching brands all together.

as a followup to my previous post. I contacted LG through their chat on their website. Although it takes 2 weeks total time, they are repairing my V10 for free for this issue. I bought mine in November of 2015 so it is well out of the warranty. The rep mentioned its covered under their "extended warranty" but did not clarify what that actually was. I am sending in mine today and it apparently is gonna be fixed for free. Ill post again when I get the device back.

Mine died today. Need it for my business. Was able to hit power and volume down buttons and have selected Safe Mode and Reset. Then back to the Life's Good screen.

HelloI am in UK and I have 2 V10s. One from T-Mobile and one AT&T, both bought on EBay. Both phones are working fine. The TMO phone, according to the LG Phone from App is as follows:
Original OK
Model LGABCD
Color XX
Your IMEI
(Not IMEISV)
Serial number 1 XABCXX
Serial number 2 N
Production date 2015/10/24
Release date 2015/10/28
Provider ABC
Provider name T-Mobile
Network type ABC
CSN number LG0000765028333
Stolen information NOT KOREAN
Latest firmware version N
Latest firmware link N
The phone is Bootloader Unlocked, Rooted and TWRP Installed but running stock MM H90120L.

The AT&T Model is also on MM H90021w the LG Phone from app returns th following for this phone:
Original OK
Model LGH900
Color Black
Serial number 1 AATTBK
Serial number 2 602KPBF246293
Production date 2016/2/03
Release date 2016/02/05
Provider ATT
Network type 2
CSN number LG0000784984516
Stolen information NOTKOREAN
Latest firmware version V21W_00
Latest firmware link (this gives link to above firmware on LG Mobile site)

As I said both phones are running ok and I use the TMO everyday, the AT&T is a back-up in case the TMO folds.
The TMO phone has me worried as it does not appear to have an upgrade path as when I enter the IMEI on the LG MOBILE site it does not return any software for the phone, whereas the AT&T phone does.
Any one have any experience of T-Mobile with any of the above listed data on the phone.

The nice woman told me I will be without the phone for two weeks.
Should have my phone back on Saturday.

"Defect:Unit is not charging with cable

Funny that this was sent in for the bootloop error and they say the defect is phone not charging with cable.

My LG V10 died about 5 hours ago, stuck in a boot loop. I'll be contacting LG in the morning. I went ahead and ordered a new Samsung cell phone, I'm done with LG. Life's Good? I don't think so not with your crappy cell phone.

As an update to my previous post. Im once again on my V10. I got my phone back May 18th. So it wasn't terrible. I used an S8 in the interval and i hated it. Too narrow...waayy too slippery of a design...hate the edge...it was frustrating for me to use that thing. To each his own though.

I forgot to mention. This was also the same repair reasons I got. They probably have to put in a reason code of somesort and there probably isnt a "Crap motherboard defect" reason so they just select anything(or the first thing in the list).
