Could you provide more details how to make AdAway work again ?

Ok i managed this.
Remove AdAway, delete all hosts files, add systemless hosts module in Magisk, install AdAway, build hosts and done.

You don't need adaway or root to edit hosts file.
Just create yours or copy one file "hosts" to root of (sdcard -aka internal memory). No reboot needed.

Sorry, still don't get it. Are we talking about this place?

I can't find a way of removing recent apps using the LOS stock launcher (Trebuchet), don't think possible. Quick scroll up doesn't work for me either. However i use Nova Launcher (vastly better for customization, very popular) and you can remove the recent apps bar as pictured here . Might be other launchers that allow them to be removed too. I personally like them there though!

ROM Firmware Required: Minimum update installed 2130WW/CN -for S2. For S3 - D350KR, Nokia DRG - Android 9-10.

I just bought a new S2 a few days ago.
The ROM version is 00WW_1_35C.

As there is "ROM Firmware Required", I need to update my phone before flashing.
However, Sharp had left the phone industrial and the server at Taiwan had been shut down.
Even OTA is not available.

Do any one have the backup ROM file?

And another question, after flashing the Lineage 17.1, will the schedule power on / off function still exist?

if I have right now LOS 17.1 daily 04-02-2020, should I update to newest May release ? is 05-01-2020 rom stable ? Only version from 04-02-2020 is marked as stable at first page, so does it mean that 05-01-2020 is beta ?

So, may I know if my understanding below correct or not?

I may choose CN version
- SS2-135J-0-00CN-B01
- SS2-2140-0-00CN-B01
( SS2-2180-0-00CN-B03 is Homebrew version. I can skip it as I can flash lineage with 2140 version already.)


Is it the correct steps:
1. Install TWRP
2. Unlock Bootloader
3. Update to official 2130WW/CN or above
4. Flash Lineage
5. Flash GApps

BTW, what was added in the homebrew version?

It's not there though, I opened the zip file,
But Persist.img is not there!

So you probably need to roll back to some original full NB0 rom and lose all data.
Persist partition hold some data like wifi and bt connections afik, probably imei data too.
How you did manage to broke it?

I updated from treble 3.3 to the latest may13 lineage 17.1 and all of a sudden I lost the sensors.
Would appreciate it if Heineken or someone else can post this perisist.img file, or a better solution to get my sensors back, so I don't have to roll back to the original treble 3.1 rom.

But 3.3->los is only boot, vendor and system, it does not touch persistent afik...

Hi heineken,
I fastboot persist persist.img. but it didn't fix the issue.

So i decided to OST to trebel 3.1.
the sensors all worked. I then flashed trebel 3.3 from twrp. The sensors was working still.
I then flashed to lineage 130520. and immediately after the sensors stopped working.

So now OST back to trebel again but this time i flashed lineage 20200116 and the sensors are working. I then upgrade to 130520 and sensors are good.

So it looks like there is a problem with the latest 130520 build that kills the sensors when you upgrade directly from treble 3.3. not sure why this is happening.
