I am tried to flash it on my galaxy S3 i9300
Running Lineage OS Rom 14.1
But got failed !
I am tried other method in comments to copy this bootanimation file by root explorer app to system/media but nothing changed!

Have mentioned above!
Can't flash through recovery, following steps below:
- copy zip file to MEDIA folder in system
- change file name by adding ". bak" at end of file name
- Copy again zip file to same folder then reboot and enjoy!

OK, try one step more:
Press on the zip file to open window then press on the security and see it set to r.w permission or not, if not then tick to set and reboot immediately at here , good luck!

I use FX file explorer so it's different but try to do untick "w.pemisstion on "group" and "others" and reboot

and don't forget in front of the addition of a folder media rename archive in bootanimation.zip and shutdownanimation, zip, respectively.

Bro this is for stock android system!
I told u i am running Lineage os Rom 14.1
And i don't have stock bootanimation in the system/media , he changed the stock bootanimation name to .bak coz he will back to stock a nimation when he want anytime.
I set the premssion like the video 0644 rw.r.r but not done again . maybe i should wait the orginal bootanimation from Lineage OS.

I followed this clip to change animation too, I don't care stock Android or custom Android.

Rename bootanimation_1_720x1280.zip to bootanimation.zip then copy to system / media and reboot

FX file explorer for free have 2 apps:
Install the file explorer (root) first then install other file explorer :

This zip file can not flash through recovery CWM or TWRP, pls note!
It must be copied to MEDIA folder in system and your device also must be rooted to get r-w permission.
