so i have an extra z3 play that not being used as its kinda my test devices for stuff im willing to beta test whatever you got i have most of the mods batteries projector speaker and the camera so i can tell you what will work and what wont?

How are you people even flashing this? booting twrp on z3 play doesnt flash anything.

My google pay worked quite stably. Try this patch for magisk.

I had problems using Verizon, phone seemed to work fine, but texting would not, and there is no way to edit the APN.
Is navigation per gesture available as well as dot nav bar? are there any more screenshots available?

So I've had this phone for the last two weeks, have accepted and installed two security/software updates since then.
I have the bootloader unlocked and managed to install Lineage but it is all buggy. I can't send texts but can receive them, can't install gapps properly. And like the idiot I am didn't make a back of the stock OS before doing all this. Oh and I have the xt1929-4 model.
Does anyone have the stock OS that I can reflash to get back to 'normal'?
And also was wondering why this phone and community has such little support from other users.
Shame this phone is not more popular.

When you go to the downloads, the one with 28 in it is Oreo, and 29 is Pie, Pie works fine, but will give an error and you can never update it over the air.

I feel your pain, I hosed my $400 phone, and ended up buying a used one on Swappa until I was able to get software, and Moto is no help whatsoever once you unlock the BL.
You just wont be able to update Pie with automatic updates. Look at this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79264349&postcount=4

On all my other mobiles I used to install cyanogen or later lineage. On the motos I had only on g4plus I installed it. Later on the moto z2 play and z3play the best is to stay on the original but rooted rom.
