I've noticed that I'm no longer able to build los14.1 ROM's!
There are compiling errors that I can't solve. Google has changed the version of "jack" from 1.3rc7 to 1.3a8 and that seems to cause this error message:

Jack server failed to (re)start, try 'jack-diagnose' or see Jack server log
SSL error when connecting to the Jack server. Try 'jack-diagnose'

jack-diagnose

gives this messages:

Error: Syntaxerror in Process-ID-List

Port 8077 is used by another process (pid=), please ensure to free the port or change port configuration in '/home/bernhard/.jack-settings' and '/home/bernhard/.jack-server/config.properties'

I've tried to change the ports but that doesn't change anything.
If there is anyone out there who can help me, please feel free to do so!

I've fixed it!

The latest update of openjdk-8 (292?) caused this behaviour! I had to downgrade to version 265 of it. Yippiejayeah!

Hi! I flashed this ROM and I'm very happy. My only "problem" is that, the ring and notification volume is too loud. How can I change the speaker volume to the default value? And how can I change the volume steps from 15 to 7. Thanks

I just installed the Bromite System WebView through the WebView Manager Magisk module and it worked!

So the Webview is being reset to AOSP with each new version I reckon. Any chance I can interest you in changing to the Bromite Webview or would that be too much tweaking for an as clean as possible ROM? As far as I can tell there is no downside to it; one does however have to trust Bromite.

Someone else problems with pictures that change rotation if you zoom in?

problem dont change if you deactivate screenrotaion or options from original cam-software..

some picture dont rotate if you zoom in but i cant find the reason....

There are no security updates available. It seems that the version of this ROM dated may 5th will be the last version of this ROM.

Edit: Oups!! I've just seen that I haven't set this version to public; please be patient!

There appear to be some issues with the mobile connection when using encryption, at least on my device.
I flashed the latest version at the time of this post (Jun 28 2021 version), though it also happens with the stock cm14-1 ROM.

The mobile connection works after flashing the ROM, but after encrypting the device it stops working.
It presented me with the PIN entry and after entering the correct PIN code the phone does not register on the mobile network. It presents the "SIM missing" or "SIM locked" message in the status bar, even though the SIM was inserted and unlocked.
The Android log contains messages about failures to read ICC ID, no such errors are present in the unencrypted logs. The same SIM card was used for both tests and the SIM card is fully functional after re-flashing the unencrypted version.

Based on other encryption-related questions in this thread, I understand that you don't use encryption and thus it's unsupported. I'm mostly posting this in case someone else hits the same issue, as I spent a couple of hours on figuring this out, since I never actually used the phone with a SIM before enabling encryption .

Im not familiar with Android development, so I don't know where to start debugging this. In the unlikely case that someone has an idea on what might be causing this then please do let me know.

The unencrypted (working) boot log contains no entries from the PhoneInterfaceManager service, but I'm not sure if that's expected behavior or not.

Thank you!! You are correct, disabling SIM PIN allows encryption to work.

Maybe you could add info about the encryption and SIM PIN issue to the troubleshooting section?
I managed to find info in Reddit threads about the encryption and SIM PIN error by searching for rather specific phrases (after I was informed of the issue by patroj), but it might save others some time if it was listed in your LOS build threads as well.

Otherwise your LOS 14 builds (and TWRP, sans decryption support) seem to work great on this device, haven't hit any other issues.

Hi guys. I'm z4 tablet developer. I found that the same kernel kcal code works for oreo, but doesn't work for nougat (checked for LOS and legendrom) even with CONFIG_FB_MSM_MDSS_KCAL_CTRL=y
Could you please test if this app works for you on los14.1?

The switch "CONFIG_FB_MSM_MDSS_KCAL_CTRL" has been imported in my kernel for cm-14.1 at october 12th 2019: Klick
The user @Sony user 16 pointed me to this.
This switch isn't used in any other kernel source.
So, I'm not sure if it is working or not.
