So a short review so far:

PROS:
1. ROM is good and stable.
2. RAM consumption is low..1.5-1.6 GB average
3. Noticed no major bug yet which can hinder it to work properly.
4. Battery backup is better them MIUI stock ROM.
5. Good for daily driver if you want a change.

CONS:
1. Sometimes the pics in gallery wont open even after clicking multiple time...you will have to click other pics randomly and then it starts working.
2. Network reception of my 4G is quite low..at the same place MIUI was much better...here it is almost nil...but still work.
3. I use modded google camera...which lags a lot....hell a lot..on MIUI it was smooth like cream.
4. Icon of all the app which are not installed from playstore won't show up. I mean, apps from unkown sources will get installed but their shortcut wont appear, don't know why. I made a work-around by installing app shortcut creator but if i reboot..all such icon will vanish again. (Any help would be appreciated)
5. system lags a bit sometimes.....takes time to open setting...n likewise
1. I don't use inbuilt gallery so I can't judge.
2. My 4G signal is strong.
3. Gcam - try another mod.
4. I have installed several non Google Play Store apps and all have own icon. Maybe you have to clear cache or install another launcher.
5. Slightly lags does not matters. You can change battery profile from Balanced to Quick.

Try Google Camera 5.0.009.165387063.
Tried but "app seems corrupted" coming. not able to install. I tried from different sources, same result.

BTW, cleared cache, wiped delic...changed launcher to nova....all good no vanishing of apps icon after restart... setting "quick" in battery has almost taken care of lag...

going good.

Excellent rom, good job sir :good:.
I want to know if it is possible to port some rom (Oreo or Pie) of the Redmi 4X for this device. Both devices have similar specifications, including the rear camera (ov13855) and the fingerprint. Would it be possible?

Do you have a serious bug?
I installed this unofficial ROM into mi y1 and it was good for starting few days. After that it was a hell like the device got over heat. Before flashing the ROM into my Mi y1 device the lineage os was my first choice and favorite too. but after that incident I replaced it with Resurrection Remix OS 5.8.5 and it is 100 times better than the Lineage OS.
Thanks & Regards
Pavan.

Custom build

The download link is dead, and the author hasn't replied. I decided to compile the ROM myself, if you want, you can get it here:

ROM: mega.nz/#!IEEEWKZJ!nBvef7lZ55OCtW4vjNlXwwymobF--f5jNbIRD2CiZNY
MD5SUM: mega.nz/#!BMEEBQqC!qOoLyt3SfmDZKVG5WT4Tg6rtkX2xMQHJZYMalvRfB68

I have tested it myself, and so far it seems stable.

I am not responsible for any damage or problems that might occur with your device by using these files. By using/flashing these files, you're on your own. I also can't give any kind of troubleshooting, as I'm not used to developing for AOSP.
