Hey!!

I use lineageos 15.1 for quite a long time now and its awesome. The only problems i have are the recording quality and the camera quality. Are these problems fixed in the newest stable build from 17.03.19?

If its not, i dont need to upgrade.

Greetings from germany!

Use open camera from Playstore and activate API in settings.

The quality is the same as 15.1 or 16.

The stock camera is a part from framework and samsung secret.

The Quality would improve if Samsung released the Source code.

Hey, Grüß dich! ;)
You can use the iDan Google Camera Mod in the latest public avaiable version 3.2.9, downloadable here: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/gcamera/Mod8.3b_IDan_v3.2.9_Exy.apk

This camera will take good looking pictures, has bokeh, portrait, panorama and hdr+ mode working. The camcorder records at max 1080p with 30pfs. In my opinion its the best possibility to take pictures on LOS 15.1 for this phone.

Voice recording, as you can see in my post above, isnt working well for me. I hope the Dev can improve it. And you have to keep in Mind, that you cant get the same system performance in LOS like in Stock based roms, but for me games are running much smoother in LOS than in stock roms. I also use the Reflux Kernel and the LKT Turbo Magisk Module. No MTweaks App or something. That runs fine so far. Kernel is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/development/kernel-reflux-kernel-t3836777

My stock camera for LOS15.1 cannot take photo if flash is ON. Will it be fix in this camera app?

Official LineageOS 15.1 build?

Hi Ivan_Meler, first of all, thank you for your good work.

I was happy to use 14.1 since I've got automatic updates through the LineageOS page. Now it seems the builds have stopped for a reason I actually could not find out.

It would be nice to have more information at one place and not scattered around all over the internet, since it is not easy to track all the development. Most of us are non-developers and don't use JIRA or Telegram. I've looked for recent information and could not find anything.

I know the HWC is broken in LineageOS 16 and probably won't get fixed soon so I avoid to buy or recommend any Samsung phone atm.

But what about this ROM? LineageOS 15.1 seems to be fine as far as I could read in the bug-list or in the thread. Why not to build it officially as an intermediate step?

If you could spend some time and push 15.1 into the build system, I'll be glad to help you with a small amount for your work. Even if 15.1 is not perfect, neither the version 14 was. So why not to go for 15.1 and be closer to the most recent builds?

Regards

Ivan has already addressed this before

New builds are up here is a brief changelog and current progress with developemnt in general

Also as far as official builds go I think it would make more sense to go official with 16.0 at this point in time as it would require selinux rules rewrite either way
also now that source of crashes when HWC is enabled on LOS 16 is known resolving issue should be easier and there will be just few small things to fix and clean up after that is done
and as previously stated i appreciate proper bug reports and support and ill deal with them as soon as possible if i find it valid but number of new users that cant follow basic instruction has drasticaly increased on xda lately
for some reason, Also i would like to thank everyone who donated in past as it helps with covering build server hosting

Hi dear friend; @Ivan_Meler

Thank you so much for this project.

May i ask for help about some issues.

I have random freezes most of when wifi connecting. (After ip obtained)

I don't know why.? But same after wifi turned off.

5 seconds or a little bit more freeze time.

Also some times random soft reboots after freezes or on-call

I use viper4android and i set it to "compatible mode" so i see that most of freeze gone. But still have a few less freezes.

I tried to get logs. (But i am not sure if i did it well)

I will be happy if can i learn about any fix?

Thanks you so much.
Best regarda.

Take care. Bye.

I saw some bluetooth problems here, is there any current problems if i listen music with bluetooth headphones?

Don't know about the latest build, but on the March 4th build there were some Bluetooth interruptions. The music would randomly stop playing for a few minutes before continuing as normal. I tried reconnecting the bluetooth devices as a workaround and it worked. However, it can get a bit annoying if you listen for long periods of time.

Also note that im doing this in my free time and i dont get paid for this so please try not to rush me and message
me asking me about ETAs its quite irritating and i dont care if X or Y device got aosp, As s7 is only device with this cpu
and you cant compare it with devices that used same cpu as countless other devices, Thanks for understanding

Also ill probbaly be releasing few more 15.1 builds before it goes official with minor bug fixes

I would also like to thank everyone who donated in past as it helps with covering build server hosting
