LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Mobile data working for me. If you don't work for you, please reset apn settings and select network manually. then mobile data will work.

For headset, I'm investigating it, will fix soon.

Network bands and frequencies & a thank you

Many thanks for posting this! I updated last month using your ROM and have been very pleased and impressed.

I've been curious about bands/frequencies the phone uses, I'm located in the US with Ting as an operator (which uses T-Mobiles' network), which doesn't have a lot of matching frequencies with the original setup of the U2. Have you added any bands or frequencies to the phone in your OS version? I'd like to add LTE and 3G to my phone, which I can see are listed under the mobile network menu for "Preferred network type". I have noticed my calls are so much clearer than what they were before with either IUNI's OS, or Allview's OS, so I am guessing something has changed. I've read that qualcomm processors are capable of multiple frequencies and can be enabled with an updated kernel.

I'd like to know which bands the phone currently operates on with this OS, and if I might be able to enable additional bands? If so, will I need to edit and compile a custom kernel, or is there a setting somewhere where I might be able to enable these?

Ting uses the following bands/frequencies by way of comparison:
2G/Edge:
1900 MHz (PCS)

3G (UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+):
1700, 2100 MHz (AWS), Band 4

4G: LTE
1700, 2100 MHz (AWS), Band 4 (primary band)
1900 MHz (PCS), Band 2 (supplementary, less common band)
700 MHz, Band 12 (supplementary, uncommonly used band)

iuni u2

My iuni u2 in all build lineage in idle mode wild battery power consumption - wi-fi, mobile data, gps are turned off. During the night in idle mode, more than 30 percent can be discharged. When will a reputable developer be able to deal with the problem of discharging the battery? After all, this problem is present for many owners of iuni u2 with lineage os15.

LiveDisplay does not work, the flash and flashlight often write about the temperature rise, the HDR does not work on many cameras, the minimum brightness threshold could be lower, the speaker volume is not as high as it could be.

Sometimes the phone switches itself off automatically (the screen goes dead, nothing reacts, does not burst) and it can only be turned on by holding the power button for 20 seconds. After turning on the color of the screen becomes normal - saturated, rather than as pale as usual.

the minimum brightness threshold could be lower
With stock iuni u2 firmware the display is too dim in low light situations when autobrightness is on so this actually could be a good thing until someone fix the issue with light sensor data threshold.

Great work!

1 little issue:
WiFi is hard to connect if the AP has a hidden SSID. I have a MTK-cpu router.
1 suggestion:
You can update Camera to Gcam2.7. It works fine (without C2API?) except hdr+. Lens blur is worked, but sometimes it crashes while processing.

Compiling from GIT repository

Does anyone have instructions on compiling the source from the GIT repository? I'd be interested in helping out in what ways I can. I'm not an android developer but am familiar with linux and am happy to compile recent builds for testing if it is of any use to those working on development. I'd like to begin learning more about lineage development, and be more of a help than a hindrance if at all possible.

How to get mobile data to work, 1 time worked, and there is no more. (Google Translate)
I've had a similar experience. I've noticed my data works with the default settings when I re-install the ROM, but if I add an APN specific to my carrier, my phone stops connecting to data.
