Can't reproduce the effect on my side either. Interesting bug.

There must be a specific condition, that it appears.

Your display should regenerate itself, because its a LCD.
Are you using the second december version?
Could you do me a favour and test a previous version where you think the problem didnt exist?
This ugly effect doesnt appear in my case so it's really hard to find the root cause.

I noticed the same behavior yesterday. Did't even touched the device, when it suddenly turned on, and showed a light bar on dark background in the lower half of the screen. After hitting the Power Button, the screen looked similar to ericanada's pictures posted. The display was corrected after normal reboot. I use the version from December 2nd. The Issue was not noticed at previous version.

• included 60Hz camera parameter
• fixed screen cast
• partly reverted Nov. 24th update, hope that the charging bug is gone now
• improved auto brightness
• included GPS fix improvement suggestion in initial post

Hey, thanks a lot, now screen cast is working well again!

Also I read about the problem with charging, and on my tablet I have never seen any strange things with display while device is charging. Hope that this problem for a lot of users will be fixed. Thank you for all your pretty hard and enthusiastic work.

just a quick update.

i felt the battery use was excessive so i went back to nov 19 update to compare for a day or so.
will update about the battery later today

but one thing i noticed was that the UI was noticeably faster

Yeah for me as well I feel like something is using the battery much more, charged it to 100% 3 days ago and it's already at 12% and I left it sitting in that time

for me, actually the deep sleep standby time was and is great. what made me change was what seems like normal operations seem to consuming a lot more battery / hour.

on 19-11 version is a little bit better.

i will test the 18-11 version next. then compare it with latest 7-12 version last

No at the time I didn't update but it now is. but when I was using the previous broken build the screen broke at random. While charging however it did become worse but it still happened even if I wasn't charging it.

No it's not prerooted, but Magisk Manager is included.

Is the Display Fix done in boot.img? I don't want to install a full update yet. Or are Systemui.apk and services.jar affected?

Partly in boot.img and power.smdkx12. Systemui and services.jar are not affected.

No. I use the Nov. 27th version. But I won't get chance to test it any longer as the Dec,7th version has been pushed to me yesterday...

Since, the problem seems over and everything works fine and fast !!!
I didn't expect such improvement. Thx again !!

after some complication with EFS folder (because of corupted flashing) I have white stripes on screen when device is charging after power off.please help me.thx!
