Also I have a problem with Safety Net in Magisk, I can't hide root. So I can't install Netflix or Google.
And I can't fix, or maybe I don't get the right information to fix it.

From the previous update of 27 October I installed the n8010 package even though I have the n8000 and it works.
Now I would like to and install dedicated one lineage-16.0-20201029-HTML6405-n8000 package but in process of installation some error occured :
Unmounting system......
Warning no_file contents
E3004:This package is for device c0,p4noterf,p4noterfxx,n8000,GT-N8000 ;this device is p4notewifi
Updater process ended with ERROR 7
Error instaling zip file

Do you have any soultion?

Hi,
Safety Net check pass is not possible for now because selinux is permissive.

I'm rewriting all those rules... So Safety Net will pass in future.

You can download netflix apk and install it, I'm also using it without any problems.

You have installed the wrong twrp.
Just download twrp for n8000 and flash it.

Thank you. Cannot connect wifi (tried with 2 different networks) Password is saved but no chance to connect.
Multiple of click button wifi caused interface not respond.

I am back to n8010 ver 28.10.2020 and wifi works correctly.

Have you made a factory reset?
I guess that you've installed the n8000 version dirty over the n8010.
Then some Wifi files may not fit.

Hello! Full Wipe & Format Data & Install N8000 ROM
During the first boot, Wi-Fi connects and works. I signed in to my Google account. The desktop is loading and the Wi-Fi is not connected to the network. Reinstalled twice with full cleaning.

Hmm strange, the wifi with my n8000 is working fine.
Have you tried to forget the network and reconnect?

If it's not solvable, a dmesg and logcat would help.

Yes. Removed the connection, rebooted the tablet, rebooted the Router. I connected and entered the password. Result: "Saved-> Connection ..." The tablet is frozen :(

Hi, i found another issue.
Default camera doesn't work, Open Camera yes.
But, in a Meet Call, front camera´s picture seems wrong... Vertical elongated... I think is all the same issue.

I love your work, mate!

Well... i have the same issue whit the wifi.

I'll try n8010 on my n8000 or moving back to slim 7

Hi, firstly thanks for your work on this ROM. I have tried to install the updated version for 8010, coming from your excellent version of Slim , and I keep getting error E1001: failed to update system image error 7. I am using the latest version of TWRP and have also downgraded to v 3.31 with the same result. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Wifi only work w/o gapps (8000). :confused:
Keyboard no fine firt install.

Edit.
Solution wifi , bitgapps.
Keyboard , physical keyboard-show virtual keyboard

Hello, Thanx 4 the ROM.
i tried already some things but i did not get it work.
i own a 8010.
i was on some android 7 roms before, "everything works fine" (except microsoft teams)
i wiped everything.
TWRP 3.4 installed.
i installed the ROM for the 8010/8013.
it boots, but i dont have any keyboard - what can i do?
i booted into twrp again, tried to install open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20201031.zip
i get a reboot on twrp, i also treid to install it with adb sideload and i got:

adb sideload open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20201031.zip
serving: 'open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20201031.zip' (~31%) * failed to read command: No error

did i miss something?
any suggestions?

    @html6405 Thank you for excellent job! Lineage 16.0 works fantastic on my N8010! I flashed it myself for the first time and everything works better then expected, stable and fluid.
    Just wanted to tell the others who are interested that the device is fast with (original) battery lasting for hours of video. The device shows that it is certified. YouTube works, Netflix and HBO MAX also. I have downloaded Sketchbook and FlipaClip to try S-pen and it works without problem. Regarding stream TV video apps I have noticed that some channels have broken picture if the battery is on the power saving mode.
    The only problem I have encountered so far is that some channels at our local TV streaming app MAXTV2GO (developed by T-com) have broken picture, like the tiles with horizontal lines (probably some codec issues?). Other channles on the same app work fine, and the third work good if the battery saving mode is turned off...

    oh, i think there was an older version in the thread for gt-n8020 but the headphone jack wasnt working


    if you dont want a new kernel you could install magisk 24.1

    • Main camera sometimes can't take a picture in full resolution, you could simply reopen the app and retry, or you lower the resolution.

    If you're having problems with decoding some videos (blurried),
    this is mostly because the avc hardware decoder gets configured wrongly.

    You can disable it with my magisk module:
    avc_decoder_disabler.zip



    If you are going to use Gapps,
    I recommend to use the pico package!

    For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.

    Hey, I just installed this to n8005 and you saved me from buying a new tablet. It works beyond my expectations. This is 8+ years old device after all. You are also helping environment too.     I'm sorry people,
    because I've created a new domain wifi related,
    it made some existing rules uneffective.

    I'm working hard to run selinux without any neverallow rules (I'm nearly there) to provide the best security.

    To get wifi working again, type with your PC or terminal emulator:

    adb shell (only with PC)
    su
    setenforce 0

    and wifi will work again, there will be another update today with the new fixes.
