I'm using it on my N8000 with pico package, there are not problems to wifi and bluetooth.

Someone of you should support me with a logcat, otherwise its really difficult to say where the problem comes from.

You have to activate the keyboard by your own at the moment (theres a sign at the navigation bar), I will activate this automatically in the next build, it's a growing process.

Error 7 in general does mean that you try to install a noncompatible zip file.
So are you 100 percent sure, that you have the n8010 TWRP installed and try to install the n8010 rom?
And have you checked the md5sum of your download?

The build seems to run pretty smooth on my gt-n8010. Only there seems to be a problem with the physical keyboard, where the z and y keys are switched. I tried changing the layout to US international, but this didn't work.

Keep up the good work!

Just to add my 2 cents...

Wifi works fine on my 8010 from 10 years ago with original battery. I haven't done extensive testing but it feels pretty nice and I think it may be better than the Nougat roms already.

Ok at first, you have to activate the keyboard by your own (thers a sign at the navigation bar, right).
If you plan to install gapps, you have to do this directly after you've flashed the rom.
So reboot to twrp, do a factory reset, wipe system, install the rom and then gapps.

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it, there are for sure still some bugs, but we have time to fix one after the other :).

just enable development options + usb debugging and with

adb shell
logcat

or use any app like for example Syslog.

Before you logcat, try to connect to your wifi, disable enable it...

You can put your logcat in pastebin and send me the link per PM.

HI Thanks for your fast answer.
There was no sign like on roms before.
i also tried your 7.1.2 Slim Version, there i get an error at 37% on gapps.
i tried to install it like you said before without any restart, both zip's without reboot. also withour sideload, files are on SD card.
are there any changes since 2 years on RIL/Modem/whatever and do i have to upgrade anything before?
did not touch my pad since ~ 2 years and used some 2 years old 7.1.2 roms

It should be there, I will update it very soon...
If the installation still doesnt work, try to redownload it,
maybe a download error occured.

No, only if your "old" modem doesnt work.

I have downloaded the ROM again and success!!! Thanks again for keeping this tablet alive and up to date

I downloaded again, but no success.
Still no information about any keyboard(check picture)
Also still crashes while installing gapps

OK, totally strange:
  • bricked my device, while i tried to install again twrp
  • tried much stuff... (some kies versions, heimdall, some fastboot , but drivers f***ed up, really much wasted time finally:
  • installed N8010XXUDNE4_OXADNE4_v4.4.2_Repair_Firmware.zip (https://www.leakite.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-1-gt-n8010-firmware-unbrick-repair/)
  • installed again twrp 3.4
  • installed again my earlier downloaded version from SD card (ROM&gapps pico)
  • device boots fine
Thanks for your suggestions, help & ROM!

Holy sh*t I must be dreaming!!! Thank you so much for this ROM! I'll definitely be trying it out soon and reporting back, even though my Note 10.1 is on its last legs with an almost dead battery, slow charging and broken speakers... Still, it's so much fun to see Android 9 on such an old device.

Don't listen to everyone complaining about how this is Android 9 instead of 10 or 11, this is already a MASSIVE improvement. I would like to ask though if this is considered an Android Go ROM, as any extra performance we can get out of this device is very important. I'll try to use some lightweight GApps when flashing to also help out.

Edit: I know it's still early days for this ROM, but I would like to ask how you think the day-to-day experience is with this ROM. In your experience, is performance and/or battery life better than Android 7?

first of all I like to thank you for the ROM. It's running very good at this point. I tried to restore my Apps via Swift Backup but it crashes because it can't access the storage etc. Maybe you can take a look into the Logcat if you got time. Thank you in advance...

    @html6405 Thank you for excellent job! Lineage 16.0 works fantastic on my N8010! I flashed it myself for the first time and everything works better then expected, stable and fluid.
    Just wanted to tell the others who are interested that the device is fast with (original) battery lasting for hours of video. The device shows that it is certified. YouTube works, Netflix and HBO MAX also. I have downloaded Sketchbook and FlipaClip to try S-pen and it works without problem. Regarding stream TV video apps I have noticed that some channels have broken picture if the battery is on the power saving mode.
    The only problem I have encountered so far is that some channels at our local TV streaming app MAXTV2GO (developed by T-com) have broken picture, like the tiles with horizontal lines (probably some codec issues?). Other channles on the same app work fine, and the third work good if the battery saving mode is turned off...

    oh, i think there was an older version in the thread for gt-n8020 but the headphone jack wasnt working

    Once i flashed N8000 rom to my N8000 tablet. Never tried the sim card because 3G network was terminated by govt.

    But then my device gets very hot on standard usage. Log shows that the sim slot is continously searching for signal even the sim card is not loaded.

    OP then suggests me to flash N8010 TWRP and then flash N8010 rom to my N8000. All went good.

    If you're having problems with decoding some videos (blurried),
    this is mostly because the avc hardware decoder gets configured wrongly.

    I'm sorry people,
    because I've created a new domain wifi related,
    it made some existing rules uneffective.

    I'm working hard to run selinux without any neverallow rules (I'm nearly there) to provide the best security.

    To get wifi working again, type with your PC or terminal emulator:

    adb shell (only with PC)
    su
    setenforce 0

    and wifi will work again, there will be another update today with the new fixes.
