Nobody was so far able to fix this problem.

Sorry, if I would know a workaround, I would have already built this in.
I'm using the via browser for some online streams without any problem (except some sites are using a not compatible video format).

You could install the correct driver or use adb pull.
There are also many apps to transfere your files via Wifi.

Generic troubleshooting questions:
1: Does your cable transfer data? I mean, some cheap replacement 30 pin cables does not transfer any files, just purely only charges the tablet. Obviously, I had fell for that so I know.

Spoiler: Read this if you want to install custom ROMs without a working connection to your PC

For installing custom ROMs,which you probably wanted to do, for that I have to resort to use One Click Root apps like kingroot, kingoroot, etc first, then use flashify to install twrp(install flashify before root, but do not open it until rooted)(download the twrp .IMG 3.5.2 from @html6405, select twrp from device, click reboot recovery), wipe>factory reset, then use SD card to move the custom rom(lineageos 16.0 )to the tablet and flash.

2: Did you install the drivers updates from Windows updates under the optional updates or installing the latest from Samsung?

You can first try updating the drivers, then go and suspect the cable.

Hi, I apologize for the length of the post ... Some apps have suddenly crashed for a few days. I noticed that the Android Webview version was quite dated (85.0.4183.101) but my N8000 never offered me to upgrade. I downloaded from apkmirror and manually installed version 92.0.4515.115 (in the correct variant for my N8000). Now under "WebView implementation" of the "Developer options" menu I have seen that there are 3 possible selections:

1. Chrome 91.0.4472.164
2. AndroidWebView 92.0.4515.115
3. AndroidWebView 85.0.4183.10.

I have selected the second one. After a while the system also automatically found me the AndrodWebView update from PlayStore but the version number remained unchanged. Apps no longer seem to crash. I also saw that the old version of AndroidWebView was only 3Mb while this new one is 107Mb. Was my procedure correct? Could I have any problems with the next Lineage 16.1 update? (now I have the latest version of July 13, 2021).

The new version is installed in the user data partition so it will not be deleted by updates.

Maybe a selinux rule is missing, it alway's would be good to provide me a log, otherwise I can't fix it.

I am trying to install your Rom on my Galaxy note 10.1 GT-N8010 GAAR. I have a strange problem I hope someone can help. The issue is this.
I have a custom recovery TWRP 3.3.1-0 and I followed your instructions on the MHS webpage to the letter and was able to successfully install the rom but without Gapps.
So far so good everything started up fine and I had a working system. I then decided to reflash the rom but with Gapps support. I first restored the original Samsung rom from a twrp backup I had made previously evrything fine so far.I then went through the exact same process as before but with the Gapps included in the flash. They both installed fine with no twrp errors. So I rebooted to system. The lineage moving circles started as before on reboot but after a short time the tablet rebooted to the recovery without finishing the update process. I have tried this process twice so far no change I am stumped any help would be appreciated.
The files I used are:

Lineage - 16.0-20210713-HTML6405-n8010.zip
open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20210416.zip

Hi Thanks for the speedy reply. I have solved the problem. I had a corrupt zip file of your Rom dont know how it happened since I successfully used it once. I downloaded another copy and things went the way they should.But I have a question about root access does your rom come as rooted if not how do you enable root access.
Thanks for all your hard work to keep these devices current sure beats E waste.

The ROM is unrooted (to pass the safetynet check),
but if you want to root it, just download the magisk manager apk and flash it via TWRP.

There would be a possibility that the HDMI output will work. Sometimes I use miracast but it is lagging and locks up. The Hdmi output with the official stock ROM worked perfect. With Lineage ROMs it is disabled.

I installed different versions of usb drivers and couldn't access my n8000 from pc but enabling USB debugging in developer options solved my problem.

It's a good thing that the assembly has moved to version nine. Thanks to the developer.
Just noticed that the new version has very noticeably increased power consumption on N8000 and very slow switching design theme. It switches from light to dark theme and back with a big "crunch". Reluctantly. Setting the theme depending on the time of day often gives strange results. Some of the interfaces are dark, some are light.
