If you already installed from the 7. october, just ignore it.Is there someway to stop the tablet telling me the update is needed when (I believe) it isn't?

Ok, thanks.
On the side note, is there any reason to update gapps manually after first install with rom? Aren'y they updated in background automatically like Google Play Store services? Thanks for the rom html6405!
Just made an account to let everyone know that there is an issue with the latest gapps version (12 October 2021). It fails on setup with "android setup keeps stopping".
Previous version worked fine (I think I tried like 10 times before downgrading xD)
Thanks but I already fixed it by "reseting" whole /data by changing it to ext2 and back to ext4 and reformatingYou could try to create a logcat while the system boot's up, maybe I can see something there.
What else you could try is to fix the selinux contexts in TWRP.
Sure they will be updated, but only on the data partition, so if you do a factory reset,On the side note, is there any reason to update gapps manually after first install with rom? Aren'y they updated in background automatically like Google Play Store services?

This device has an arm architecture...
I don't see the problem, but theoretically a factory reset should be enough if you've installed the correct gapps (and not arm64).So do I have to go back into recovery via power button and volume and wipe and then install rom and gapps and it may work or any other suggestions?

For this you will have to modify the ramdisk and deleteIt seems that I cannot disable Z-RAM. I would like to be able to disable it. How can I do this?
Hi,Hi, I installed your rom on my GT-N8020. It runs smootly and much better than old Cyagenmod one, but I cannot use the SIM CARD. A message asks me to reboot to activate the mobile data, but it appears at every logon and I cannot surf (no internet connection)... Is there a way to fix?
Not yet, but I have an idea how I could disable this in future builds.
Great
Hi,Dear developer. I apologize for my bad English. I am trying to install the last lineage-16.0-20211007-html6405-n8000.zip from Oct 07, 2021. Twice pumped, but the problem remains. First of all I installed the service N8000XXSDQA5 | 4.4.2 | 01/05/2017 | 2451855 | Russia. Then after one installed TWRP-3.5.0_9-0-N8000. Everything was established normally. Threw away Lineage-16.0-20211007 and Open_Gapps-Arm-9.0-Pico on the USB flash drive. Inserted into the tablet. I go into the TVP, I do all the wipes, then I choose the firmware and additionally gaps. I stitched. The firmware passes without problems. Reboot into the system. Everything goes for 2-3 minutes. The original screen opens and here is the problem! I choose the language and then "an error occurred in the setup application" !! And further in any way! 3 times reinstalled and three times in the error settings. Tell me what to do?
Also pegagsusq really sucks. It's biased towards battery life, and has low performance. Changing it to ondemand would be better. At least ondemand tries to keep more balance. It's extremely annoying to see my device taking 5 minutes to start up and calm down to only be somewhat-ish usable. For this you will have to modify the ramdisk and delete
swapon_all /fstab.smdk4x12
in the init.target.rc.
Also, you could delete the
/dev/block/zram0
line in the fstab.
I had the best stability with pegagsusq in my tests.
I had a really bad battery experience with ondemand, but everybody can change the default governour with kernel aduiator for example.
This is why I've set the value to 16000 MHz.Anything higher than this causes forced immediate shutdown of the device.
I had this in the early stages, but people wanted that I unlock higher frequencies.
Well, people claimed because of running out of RAM and I had many last_kmsg's because of that, it was necessary, maybe not for everybody, but for most.As for Z-RAM, it's really not necessary and actually hurts the performance as it uses more CPU resources since it has to compress and decompress programs being used... which also increases battery consumption.
For RAM it's probably better to tweak LMK, because Z-RAM kills performance.I had the best stability with pegagsusq in my tests.

Some devices run more stable with higher values, some not, I wouldn't recommend it.

Maybe we would be safe if I set the device to low_ram, but then some functions would be missing like pip,
multiuser support etc.
It's not easy to make a ROM perfect for everybody.
yeah u gotta install this kernel that @html6405 madeHi all
Having problems trying to flash Magisk 26.1. No matter if I flash from TWRP or if I patch the boot.img, and then flash boot.img, no success.
Is there any problem with Magisk and this ROM?
Thank you
oh, i think there was an older version in the thread for gt-n8020 but the headphone jack wasnt workingThe kernel suggested seems not compatible with my device (GT.N8020)
Any suggestion?
Thanks!
