Update 12.11.2020:

N8020:

• fixed many errors which appeared after enabling PIP and multiscreen
• partly fixed RIL (SIM still doesnt get recognized)
• GPS (not sure if completely)
• included signature spoofing for microG

I will publish it by OTA and also on AFH (start post).

This is because of the used pixel format of the rom, I'm not sure yet if we can change this,
but I will work on it.
The easiest way would be if zoom just would include a little fallback function.

I'm however having a slight hitch installing the arm-9-pico gapps on my N8000. After flashing, it gets stuck in the boot animation and returns to recovery. This happened to me when I booted the rom before flashing gapps. I had to flash both rom and gapps in one step for it to work

Hmm ok, have you checked the md5 sum of the downloaded gapps?
If not, do it and if it's faulty, just redownload them and give it a retry.

Here's a small insight in LineageOS17.1, it's just an initial test build, Kernel is not ready (have to overwork all n80xx relevant drivers),
but when LinageOS 16 will reach a stable level, I will proceed there...

It's working now. I flashed ROM and gapps before rebooting to system. Only the google play store is not certified. That, for now, is not much of problem as I've also installed the uptodown app store where I could install Netflix and some other apps. Thanks once again for the good job @ Html6405

It's easy to optain the playstore certificate, just enable Magisk hide (must be rooted), do a safety net check,
delete all the playstore data and reopen it, voilà.

But Magisk hide stops working sometimes... Anyway I'm able to download Netflix etc from the Playstore .
But I want to reach the certification level in future.

Wow! Works like magic. You're indeed a genius. My playstore is now certified. One more thing...I notice the battery indicator does not appear when charging while power is off. Though, the device is charging, as it achieves optimal charging capacity. Thanks again for the good work. Can't wait for further updates or an upgrade to the android 10 or 11 OS...

This function is not implemented, but it's charging 100% controlled through the kernel,
if you want to see more, you have to boot the device .

This looks like a download error, redownload it and check the md5sum.

Edit: I was able to find the apps after searching again the next morning, so OP's instructions worked.

Should anyone else encounter this problem, I can confirm that the latest versions of these apps both function properly when installed from elsewhere (I downloaded them from APK Mirror).

I don't know what information the Play store collects to determine what apps should be available to a particular device, but case it is relevant to the issue, I'll note that I am located in the US, and have the N8013 version of this tablet, which is now listed as N8010 under "model & hardware" in the ROM settings.

Thank you for your work on this. I decided to browse this device forum for the first time in months because I was bored, but never expected to find development newer than LOS14.1. This is an impressive "alpha" build and I'll be following your progress. :good:

Hi,

I've installed it on my n8010 (nov 11 build)

So far I've run into following problems:

1) Opening firefox browser causes my tablet to reboot
2) This I'm not 100% sure about, but I've felt as if the sound was louder even at a lower volume level and harsher than it was on slimroms 7.1.2
3) Was not able to install viper4android driver. SE linux is set to permissive. Viper working fine on slimroms 7.1.2
4) Some animations were a little laggy. And whenever i would open some(any?) apps for a split second it would show what looked like a blurry screenshot of an app and then it would snap back to normal and I could interact with an opened app

Edit: also auto-brightness is a little off
