Hi,

I've installed it on my n8010 (nov 11 build)

So far I've run into following problems:

1) Opening firefox browser causes my tablet to reboot
2) This I'm not 100% sure about, but I've felt as if the sound was louder even at a lower volume level and harsher than it was on slimroms 7.1.2
3) Was not able to install viper4android driver. SE linux is set to permissive. Viper working fine on slimroms 7.1.2
4) Some animations were a little laggy. And whenever i would open some(any?) apps for a split second it would show what looked like a blurry screenshot of an app and then it would snap back to normal and I could interact with an opened app

Edit: also auto-brightness is a little off

To 1: this is known
To 2: it should be exactly as loud, as it was / is in slim7
To 3: never tried it, I read that some people were able to install it, others not, I don't know why and which version is compatible or not
To 4: hmm ok, I guess I know what you mean, don't expect to much of this old device, sometimes we have to calculate with some latency. But for my personal experience it runs pretty smooth.
But the most important thing is, it's not finished and still an alpha version :).
To 5: yes, theres still a problem with the minimum light value, it should stay at least at 20 percent,
but it doesnt, I have to find out why.

Excellent, after work around for booting to TWRP

Ha, you call this an alpha? :)
Haven't been able to find a flaw yet (besides the already known issues).
I just donated, please have a beer or coffee on me and please keep up the good work.

I had lots of trouble booting into TWRP. Probably didn't read the instructions right, but it seems to be a regular problem with Samsungs. Of course I started by bringing my N8010 back to original by doing a factory reset. Then I flashed TWRP 3.4.0 a dozen times with ODIN (versions 3.07 up to 3.14.4) and every time (after each Pass) after the automatic reboot tried to boot into TWRP using different key combinations (power + volume down just got me in the download (ODIN) state, power + volume up just rebooted to the original 4.4.2) without luck. ADB and fastboot didn't work either (unauthorized device, while it should be unlocked). Only when I did another factory reset once I ran through the original setup it did go to TWRP on reboot. And from there installing the rom and gapps was easy peasy. Now running all my favorite apps.

Thanks for the video; I searched for Netflix in the Play store again this morning and was able to find it without going through the process again.
Ok :), I just thought maybe it's better to show these steps in a video.

Yes, still alpha but as soon I can enable selinux and hopefully fix some app crashes, I will switch to beta :).
Thank you very much, every donation will go directly into a new SSD (I'm struggling already with my low storage) , I've already got about 50 dollars :).

Then perhaps get a HDD Instead? They are pretty cheap and offer so much storage for the price but the only downside is that it is slower.

Never, this would slow down the build process extremely!

Wait times would become from 20 minute's up to an hour and longer.

Ah got it, I don't know what goes behind the scenes so I didn't know you need faster storage.
I wish I could help you out by donating but unfortunately I don't have my own credit card yet so the most I can do is report bugs and say thanks. So thank you! :)

8005 compatible?

Hi,
Can I install it to my 8005 (Turkish version)? They are using same processor (Exynos 4412) but I don't know about modem or other hardware. Do you think it could work?
Thanks in advance.

in this web convert pixels in gpu

There could be better/easier/faster ways of doing this, using the Android Bitmap API, but I'm not familiar with it. If you want to go down the direction you started, here's your code modified to convert 4 byte ARGB to 3 byte BGR

Hi :)
Can I install this rom to my n5100?
Have a lovely day :)
No, but these devices are very similar, so I would be able to build for it,
but I don't own any for testing.

This isn't implemented, also had no time to take a look at it, I don't care about this yet,
there are more important problems to solve before.

I guess it wouldnt boot at all, but you're right, they are very similar.

I don't know but what I read it should be completely equal to the N8000.
Just try it and tell us ;).

Then please create instantly a dmesg and logcat after the crash and send it to me, maybe then I can find out what happened.
There was already an Update of ScreenStream to support our pixel format and it also could be, that Zoom will do the same.
Our devices arent the only ones using BGRA_8888 (0x5), but anyway I will try to find a workaround.

No problem :), for building roms it's really important to have a fast storage, otherwise I would have to wait for hours and it already takes much time to work on it.
You're welcome, I hope to bring a new update today, still working every day hard on it.

@html6405 Thank you for excellent job! Lineage 16.0 works fantastic on my N8010! I flashed it myself for the first time and everything works better then expected, stable and fluid.
Just wanted to tell the others who are interested that the device is fast with (original) battery lasting for hours of video. The device shows that it is certified. YouTube works, Netflix and HBO MAX also. I have downloaded Sketchbook and FlipaClip to try S-pen and it works without problem. Regarding stream TV video apps I have noticed that some channels have broken picture if the battery is on the power saving mode.
The only problem I have encountered so far is that some channels at our local TV streaming app MAXTV2GO (developed by T-com) have broken picture, like the tiles with horizontal lines (probably some codec issues?). Other channles on the same app work fine, and the third work good if the battery saving mode is turned off...

    Hi all
Having problems trying to flash Magisk 26.1. No matter if I flash from TWRP or if I patch the boot.img, and then flash boot.img, no success.
Is there any problem with Magisk and this ROM?
    Thank you
yeah u gotta install this kernel that @html6405 made

    just flash in twrp
    1
The kernel suggested seems not compatible with my device (GT.N8020)
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks!
oh, i think there was an older version in the thread for gt-n8020 but the headphone jack wasnt working

if you dont want a new kernel you could install magisk 24.1

Do not waste time with this, but if you manage to remember which was the thread, I will be grateful. Meanwhile, I think I will be able to manage using 24.1

    Hi,

here you can find my LineageOS 16.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
At first I want to thank @forkbomb444, @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome and all the others who are working on the exynos 4 devices, you deserve it.

I'm working nearly every day to improve our N80xx devices and here you get a already stable version.

Here you can see what's working / not working:

    N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
    Boot
    Audio
    Bluetooth
    Graphics
    Cameras
    Sensors
    Wifi
    USB
    Video playback (HW/SW)
    OTA Updates
    RIL N8000, N8020
    GPS, not sure if completely
Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
    consumerir transmitter
    • Main camera sometimes can't take a picture in full resolution, you could simply reopen the app and retry, or you lower the resolution.
    TWRP

    N8000 Rom
    N8010 / N8013 Rom
    N8020 Rom

If you're having problems with decoding some videos (blurried),
this is mostly because the avc hardware decoder gets configured wrongly.

You can disable it with my magisk module:
    avc_decoder_disabler.zip

If you are going to use Gapps,
I recommend to use the pico package!
    https://opengapps.org/
For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.

    Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

    donate

If you don't like it, reboot into recovery and type the following command:
You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.

    Wanna improve your sound configs?
Now you can use my app to access all boeffla sound configurations.

Hey, I just installed this to n8005 and you saved me from buying a new tablet. It works beyond my expectations. This is 8+ years old device after all. You are also helping environment too. Companies should do what you are doing instead of removing chargers to protect the environment. You seriously deserve donation. Have a nice day

    I'm sorry people,
because I've created a new domain wifi related,
it made some existing rules uneffective.

I'm working hard to run selinux without any neverallow rules (I'm nearly there) to provide the best security.

To get wifi working again, type with your PC or terminal emulator:

    adb shell (only with PC)
    su
    setenforce 0

and wifi will work again, there will be another update today with the new fixes.
