Hello my friend,
I can't access my N 10.1 8000 from pc, wrong driver, any solution to transfer files to tablet except Bluetooth as it is too slow and interrupted?
Generic troubleshooting questions:
1: Does your cable transfer data? I mean, some cheap replacement 30 pin cables does not transfer any files, just purely only charges the tablet. Obviously, I had fell for that so I know.
For installing custom ROMs,which you probably wanted to do, for that I have to resort to use One Click Root apps like kingroot, kingoroot, etc first, then use flashify to install twrp(install flashify before root, but do not open it until rooted)(download the twrp .IMG 3.5.2 from @html6405, select twrp from device, click reboot recovery), wipe>factory reset, then use SD card to move the custom rom(lineageos 16.0 )to the tablet and flash.
2: Did you install the drivers updates from Windows updates under the optional updates or installing the latest from Samsung?

You can first try updating the drivers, then go and suspect the cable.

Hi, I apologize for the length of the post ... Some apps have suddenly crashed for a few days. I noticed that the Android Webview version was quite dated (85.0.4183.101) but my N8000 never offered me to upgrade. I downloaded from apkmirror and manually installed version 92.0.4515.115 (in the correct variant for my N8000). Now under "WebView implementation" of the "Developer options" menu I have seen that there are 3 possible selections:

1. Chrome 91.0.4472.164
2. AndroidWebView 92.0.4515.115
3. AndroidWebView 85.0.4183.10.

I have selected the second one. After a while the system also automatically found me the AndrodWebView update from PlayStore but the version number remained unchanged. Apps no longer seem to crash. I also saw that the old version of AndroidWebView was only 3Mb while this new one is 107Mb. Was my procedure correct? Could I have any problems with the next Lineage 16.1 update? (now I have the latest version of July 13, 2021).

Thanks
Stefano

The new version is installed in the user data partition so it will not be deleted by updates.

Hello
I am trying to install your Rom on my Galaxy note 10.1 GT-N8010 GAAR. I have a strange problem I hope someone can help. The issue is this.
I have a custom recovery TWRP 3.3.1-0 and I followed your instructions on the MHS webpage to the letter and was able to successfully install the rom but without Gapps.
So far so good everything started up fine and I had a working system. I then decided to reflash the rom but with Gapps support. I first restored the original Samsung rom from a twrp backup I had made previously evrything fine so far.I then went through the exact same process as before but with the Gapps included in the flash. They both installed fine with no twrp errors. So I rebooted to system. The lineage moving circles started as before on reboot but after a short time the tablet rebooted to the recovery without finishing the update process. I have tried this process twice so far no change I am stumped any help would be appreciated.
The files I used are:

Lineage - 16.0-20210713-HTML6405-n8010.zip
open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20210416.zip

Thanks.

Did you do a factory reset?
Hi Thanks for the speedy reply. I have solved the problem. I had a corrupt zip file of your Rom dont know how it happened since I successfully used it once. I downloaded another copy and things went the way they should. But I have a question about root access does your rom come as rooted if not how do you enable root access.
Thanks for all your hard work to keep these devices current sure beats E waste.(y)(y)

There would be a possibility that the HDMI output will work. Sometimes I use miracast but it is lagging and locks up. The Hdmi output with the official stock ROM worked perfect. With Lineage ROMs it is disabled.

It's a good thing that the assembly has moved to version nine. Thanks to the developer.
Just noticed that the new version has very noticeably increased power consumption on N8000 and very slow switching design theme. It switches from light to dark theme and back with a big "crunch". Reluctantly. Setting the theme depending on the time of day often gives strange results. Some of the interfaces are dark, some are light.

Hi html6405! I want to thank you for your development of this firmware. Excellent work! I ask you because no application can access the internal storage (neither the file explorer that is previously installed, it shows "no elements")... Is there a way to activate this? I appreciate the answer. Greetings!
Solution: It worked for me to boot into recovery, go to advanced options and "fix contexts". It fixed my permissions and I was able to save to /sdcard again :)

    but i'm on lineage 16 android 9

My suggestion is to use OpenGApps Pico for arm, Android 9.
    1
initially tried pico but wifi never worked ...only worked with bitgapps
If you have bitgapps installed, OTA(over the air) system updates are broken. If you install a system update with bitgapps, it will not work and you need to clean reflash (wipe and flash) the whole ROM . It is already mentioned by @html6405 before.

The stylus pointer is not removed in this update, the possibility to disable it exists already for a long time.

Really? If you're flashing gapps then your wifi is lost?

A logcat would be great, you could use the syslog app to extract it.
My bad, guys . I just realised that their are later updates below on the download link page....was using the initial release.....flashed the latest update (not OTA) with pico....and its all good

Works beautifully. Indeed gave my tablet a second life. Google Meet works now and acts as my second screen. Thanks a ton!

    Code:
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    Hi,

here you can find my LineageOS 16.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
At first I want to thank @forkbomb444, @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome and all the others who are working on the exynos 4 devices, you deserve it.

I'm working nearly every day to improve our N80xx devices and here you get a already stable version.

Here you can see what's working / not working:

    N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
    Boot
    Audio
    Bluetooth
    Graphics
    Cameras
    Sensors
    Wifi
    USB
    Video playback (HW/SW)
    OTA Updates
    RIL N8000, N8020
    GPS, not sure if completely
Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
    consumerir transmitter
    • Main camera sometimes can't take a picture in full resolution, you could simply reopen the app and retry, or you lower the resolution.
    • GPS sometimes looses the sattelites, after this error occur's reopen completely your navigation app.

If you are going to use Gapps,
I recommend to use the pico package!
    https://opengapps.org/
For the others, you can use microG if you want, I've enabled signature spoofing.

    Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

    donate

You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
For both methods you need root rights.

Hey, I just installed this to n8005 and you saved me from buying a new tablet. It works beyond my expectations. This is 8+ years old device after all. You are also helping environment too. Companies should do what you are doing instead of removing chargers to protect the environment. You seriously deserve donation. Have a nice day

    I'm sorry people,
because I've created a new domain wifi related,
it made some existing rules uneffective.

I'm working hard to run selinux without any neverallow rules (I'm nearly there) to provide the best security.

To get wifi working again, type with your PC or terminal emulator:

    adb shell (only with PC)
    su
    setenforce 0

and wifi will work again, there will be another update today with the new fixes.
