LineageOS 16.0 for S7 build 30

Reading the comment about the guy getting audio files from stock rom to improve sound on LOS16, it made me wonder why can't we just get all the drivers from stock rom as well for camera, wifi, bluetooth etc and everything else?

Dosent work like that especially with samsungs camera frameworks, talks a different language as to what lineage OS does, however ive found not all frameworks,binaries & libs use samsung source as some are able to interact with lineageOS.

Bt and wifi ive not checked for driver compat but ill see if switching out drivers will and libs as such will make any difference.

Its happened to me too but it seems to flip out when there is a weak WiFi signal

I have another issue. I just installed this ROM with Root and GApps pico, everything seems to run great. But when I receive a call, the screens stays black and only the title bar shows up. No buttons to accept the call and nothing to see whos calling me. As soon as the caller hangs up, the home screen shows up and I can see for a short time that the buttons for the call where there, but hidden behind that black screen. When the display is already on I get the little window with the caller's name and the buttons. The problem only shows up if the screen was off at the time of the call.

I wiped everything before the install except the external SD using TWRP 3.3.1-0. I even tried to only install the ROM withour Root or GApps, but the problem persists. Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks for your time!

Maybe something to do with screen overlay?
As for me I don't seem to be having this issue.

I was running it for 1 month on my G930F just fine until my screen went black (I noticed as I got called), couldn't do anything but to reboot the phone. When I did it went into a bootloop. Am now reinstalling it via TWRP. The same thing happened to me on the day I first installed it. Is there any fix/solution to this?

I am using a SM-G930W8 and I don't seem to be having this problem I reinstalled the ROM yesterday

Yes, I confirm that, It's been happening to me all the time, I thought it was the battery at first, But it's not.

This ROM works great on G930F! Fast, good battery drain and until now no crashes or bugs noticed.

I do noticed one thing: bad camera quality. I read almost every topic about it, tried many camera apps from playstore and also a lot of different apk's, like GCamMod (IDan). Even the newest Google Camera v8.2 keeps crashing. Changed the settings like they advised. Problem: I am used the the 4K60mod and now pictures are very noisy at night. At daylight it is acceptable, but not as good as 4K60mod with Android 8. For daylight pictures the Footej camera app works the best for me.

I think I read almost everything about it, and tried everything. Am I right, or is there a solution? Or do I really need to downgrade back to Android 8 to get the most out of the S7 camera?

Please use a new version of GCam like UniXcam or IDan.

With LineageOS 16 and Android 9, Wifi via WPS is not been provided anymore due to security matters/issues.

Yup. You should definitely disable WPS on your router.



-The WiFi alliance really messed that one up. They have a bad reputation. Theyve even screwed up the latest WPA3 WiFi security after WPA2 aes was cracked back in 2017. Check this out:

I have the latest Build installed, and enabled extended boot menu in developer options.
Unfortunately Reboot to Bootloader does not work.
I expected this will reboot to Download Mode, but it will restart System.
From TWRP, this works as expected.
Is this a (known) bug in LOS?

Are there any sound modifications for the Galaxy S7 that may give more power to the sound output?

A notification alert sounds on maximum like the same alert on medium at stock rom.

By the way, I have installed the module for stock modifications (e. g. dual spekar sound mod, see few posts before).
