Hey buddy. I hope you are doin but it is crashing a lot the graphics. If I want to use amazon prime video, Disney + or Netflix. It reproduced the video but the image is like crashing. No colors match and is weird. do you know what' should I do. I can send you an image if you want.
I installed this OS in my samsung tab 10.1 8010 Update 23.12.2020:

• Build for N8000 and fixed RIL
• Further ported palm rejection
• Fixed some graphic crashes
• Fixed some kernel crashes
• Removed dangerous recovery flash option
• More small things... It was a long day

I'm really struggling these day's with AFH, all servers are very slow.
As soon as I managed this, the links will be updated.

And dont forget, if you had BitGapps installed, you must flash them afterwards,
otherwise it wont boot.

Great job keeping u are doing @html6405 to keep these old devices alive. I want to use mine as a navigation device while sailing. Unfortuneately, I can't seem to establish a USB data connection to flash the new software. The cables are fine, tablet is charging well, but no USB data connection is established, whatsoever (checking with lsusb). Is it possible that the Samsung Knox software on this used device is preventing data connections (e.g. in Odin mode) as a safety measure?

No, at least the download mode should work.

Update 15.07.2021:

• Included permissions for signature spoofing
• Disabled wallpaper zoom ( lowered max scale for the wallpaper when it's zoomed in )
• Increased heap for the main camera, now the picture bug should be eliminated (hopefully, wasn't able to reproduce it)
• Inserted parted for repartitioning, this will be necessary for most GSI's in future (just a single process, it will persist).
• Inserted a fixgsi script, with this we are able to boot up most android 11 GSI's (but most of them will not be stable without my patches).

This update is for n8000 and n8010 only, via OTA and AFH.

"Dock connector" being the 30 pin "female" USB interface/controller on the tablet side? I will look to have it replaced and try again. The cable with "male" 30 pin plug seems not to be the issue, tried a brand new original one.

Thank you for that info. Makes me confident to keep trying. I did some research on the device's history and the previous owner said it should not have been specially security hardened. So I'll focus on replacing the connector and keep trying. Can't wait to have your brilliant work breathing new life into this old paper weight tablet.

First of all, thank you for your work! you are keeping this device alive! I got one recently and I tried both LineageOS 16.0 Android 9 and LineageOS 18.1 Android 11 on N8020. I am writing you to report about some of the problems that I found. I hope this will be helpful for you and for other users
Let's start with LineageOS 16.0 Android 9: I used it for about a month. I never faced any problem but, I found that Bluetooth does not work. The device was not able to read the Bluetooth address and therefore the device was unable to discover any other device.
LineageOS 18.1 Android 11: I didn't have time to try it for a long time because the device is restarting. it reaches the operation system, you can work a bit on it and after a minute or a few minutes, it restarts again. Still, it was enough time to check the Bluetooth. It works but I found that the IMEI is gone. the device was not able to read it.

Trying to solve the mentioned problems I always had a fresh install. Each time I flashed the device with an N8020XXUDNI2_VFGDNJ2 rom before installing LineageOS 16 or 18.1.
I hope there is a solution to these problems or at least this information would help to find one!

Awesome work my friend! I hadn't upgraded this tablet since Nougat 7. The thread I was in here at XDA where Don Carnage had been posting ROM's but there was no further updates for the GT-N8013 for a long time. I thought Nougat was the last ROM for this device until I stumbled into this thread.

After seven years of rooting, flashing, testing/troubleshooting Roms for the LG G2 running Android 11...WOW! "a Big Thank You to @aleasto " and also the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 GT-N8013, I could not pass up a great deal on a new Samsung S21+ (Verizon). So I am the proud owner of the Phantom Silver model. So far the phone is awesome. Really like it! SMOKING HOT!!!

My intent when getting this new phone was to enjoy it for a while and take a break from seven years of rooting, flashing, testing/troubleshooting Roms. Looks like that is not the case.


So as far as the GT-N8013 and Android 11, Coming from Android Nougat 7 anf flashing the lineage-18.1-20210715-HTML6405-n8010 (N8013) it seems to be running well.

* Flashed Magisk-v22.0.zip
* Rebooted System and updated the Magisk App to 23.0 (23000) (21)
* Installed BusyBox - Install failed.

Error Message - "It looks like the installation of busy box was not successful. Try installing to a different location, that may resolve the issue."

If your BusyBox installation fails, use this method:

Close that Error Message

Run BusyBox again

Where it says "BusyBox will be installed to" Tap on " /system/bin " select "Custom Path" and change path to " /data " and Tap Install. BusyBox installed successfully.

my n8020 does not reboot all the time, but for sure the ROM is not stable and there is no RIL so far.

Hmm Bluetooth is working with LOS16.0, were you trying in both cases the most recent version?

I would recommend open gapps, because bitgapps are causing a bootloop after an OTA update.

* crashes and restarts
* crashes and shuts down
* Sometimes when trying to Restart the tablet it shutsdown and does not restart
* when connected in file sharing mode, crashes and app failure
* freezing/black screen
* UI freezes/Locks Up
* While trying t o transfer files to the tablet from a Windows 10 computer I would see multiple versions of the storage drives (see picture 2)

APPS:

* apps install but will not open until reboot
* apps install but will not run even after reboot
* apps crash
* I have the same apps installed on my Samsung Galaxy S21+ running Adroid 11
* When going through the intial setup using OpenGapps when you try and connect to a Wifi network you will receive a error message saying "could not connect to the network". then you hit the back button and it will show you that you are indeed connected to your Wifi network. At this point you click on your Wifi network and initial setup will continue.

Essentially as you can see the N8013 and this latest ROM was unusable with many issues so I reverted back to my Lineage Nougat ROM and all works well and no video / screen issues.

Sorry, but when I've published this ROM, there were only BitGapps available, so we had no other choice.

Nice, it in theory should work on all devices, just see if any special case of note 10.1 that @IT Tech have. Lineage os 16 stable should work for him, otherwise that is a special case.

I came from Nougat 7.1.1 so that was my "go to" ROM just to get me back up and running again. I reverted back to a ROM that worked to help me troubleshoot the issues I had with the latest 18.1 ROM

• GPS improvements (n8000 and n8010)
• RIL fixes, to improve compatibility with more GSI's
