Unfortunately the OTA update doesn't work for me. When I tap 'Install' the device reboots, but to the system and not to the recovery and the update doesn't install. Is there any other way to install the update manually without losing my apps, data etc.?

Also, the screen lightning bug occurred when downloading the update using the updater too.

Also I can now distinguish the area which was darkened earlier on my display. It has left some spots or borders on the display which are visible when viewing from side angles. A bit afraid now. Are we sure that the bug won't harm our display?

UPDATE: The OTA update installed itself when I manually booted to TWRP. Using TWRP 3.5.2_9-0-n8000 and open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico.

The lightning bug hasn't appeared after the update upon the initial test. Will update.

Thank you so much for your work and firmware!:D I have a GT-N8000. Installed TWRP (twrp-3.5.2_9-1-n8000). Installed the firmware from the 1st page, GAPPS pico(last). I installed several programs(FBReader...). Found a new update in GT-N8000 Settings. I updated and after a few minutes I caught the screen lightning bug (I did not notice it before the update).

I also wasn't able to reproduce the bug with the version from yesterday.

When did you do the update, is your installed version from the 6 th december?

Hi,
This is wonderful, what an incredible job.
Will these corrections also be applied to Lineage 19? I'm currently using it, I know it's still Alpha, but I'm really enjoying it.

Now there is a version dated December 6th. The screen lightning bug was at the very beginning (almost immediately after the update) was repeated only 2 times. After everything is ok! Thanks again for your attention and work!
Below they write about reboot / shutdown. I do not have that! All OK!

Hi, I have problems accessing to a childs account with FamilyLink. It says 'This profile manager is required for Google Accounts managed with Family Link'. Tried also immediately after a wipe. Any idea?

How is it going with the screen light bug and engery managment on this version?
Did someone else faced the screen lightning bug on the n8000?
I've made another attempt and would like to push a new OTA for testing.

If everything runs good with, I will overtake this for all devices and push some updates...

Hmm I'm sorry, I'm not experienced with this, I only know that there are 2 different apps, for the parents and for the children.

Do you wan't to activate the stylus icon hovering? Just look into the language settings.

    here you can find my preview build version of LineageOS 18.1 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
    At first I want to thank @forkbomb444, @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot to bring this up.

    This is a early BETA build, so don't install it if you want a completley stable rom and don't report my already listet bugs!

    I'm working nearly every day on our N80xx devices, because LOS18 runs much smoother than LOS17.1, I will continue here.

    When you have BitGapps installed, you have to reflash them after every update!

    Here you can see how far everything is working for now.

    You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
    Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
    For both methods you need root rights.

    For the others, you can use microG in future.

    This ROM is alpha, nobody can force me to bring any updates,
    I'm doing this in my freetime, so be thankful if you get something.

    I will proceed here as soon as I will have time, I didn't have LOS16.0 completed and I'm working hard to provide you a stable ROM.
    LOS 16.0 is our major version, on LOS18.1 is much more work todo and much more framework hackings to get LOS18.1 as good compatible as possible.

    I'm overtaking many things I make for LOS16.0 to 18.1, but this take's time.
    I hate it if I get stressed, so please be patent or do it by your own,
    this takes really much time, debugging, try things and so on.
