You maybe have to wipe system before.
So I would try to wipe->advanced wipe->system,
install the ROM package and directly afterwares (without any reboot) the gapps package.
Thanks but no luck.....

Hi! I have CWM Recovery (PhilzTouch). Can they flash your firmware? Or you need to change to TWRP?

I think you should try to flash the official rom with Odin to confirm that the hardware is not broken
Thanks aliveday.
you saved my life. It works again by offical rom(4.1.2).
but the other problem is if i try to flash 18.1 again.... it's still showing E1001.
Am i miss any step ?

Thanks again.

You need TWRP, download the 3.5.2 version, the newest one won't work yet, I will fix this soon.

Did you also try to flash from the internal storage ( and not from the sd card )?

Just wanted to report that the screen lightning bug persists with the latest version. Occurred twice for me in 6 hrs after updating the ROM.

Magisk safetynet fails again as someone reported. Is it because I didn't turn on USB debugging before flashing magisk?

Seems great otherwise and thank you very much for that 🍇🍇

Thx for your report, it's sometimes really hard to reproduce this bug, than I will give it another attempt.

Magisk removed magisk hide and the safety net check, I'm still getting a pass with the SafetyNet Test app from the playstore.

Great :).

This seems like a frequent issue now. Hope we'll have some fix. Will this affect the display or hardware btw?

Update: The following reproduced the issue for me it seems -

Played JetAudio Plus and kept the device idle and display off while playing the music. Turned the display on by pressing the power key after 5 minutes.

No, our LCD Display regenerates itself after a while, I'm trying really hard to find a fix.
Did this also happen with Youtube Vanced?
Didn't experience with YouTube Vanced yet. JetAudio's case was just an example which may help you reproduce. The issue has appeared without JetAudio as well.

I'm using n8000. I'm not sure it occurs every time. Will surely update if I find any common pattern in the occurrence of the issue.

UPDATE: I checked once again and the issue appeared for the third time with JetAudio+. Here's the sequence:

1. Opened JetAudio+ and started music.
2. Allowed the device to turn off the display itself. Music still playing.
3. After 5 minutes, turned the display on by pressing the power button. Music still playing. Screen started darkening.

I've made another attempt, could you please download the new version and test it again?

    Coming from Lineage 16 (Android 9) and was Testing using the following:

    * GT-N8013
    * TWRP 3.5.2_9-1
    * lineage-16.0-20210713-HTML6405-n8010 (Works for N8013 as well)
    * open_gapps-arm-9.0-pico-20210723
    * Magisk 23.0 (23000) ROOTED [Root Checker Pro]
    * ROM Passes SafteyNet Check
    * Battery replaced two years ago

    @html6405 , just figured I would let you know I had been running the 16 ROM (at your suggestion) since the release of the 20210713 ROM. The 18 ROM was not stable at the time and had the lightning bug issue and other bugs as well and since then I saw people still having issues over the last several months so I decided to stay with the 16 ROM. So about a week ago the tablet battery drained all the way down and it shut down. When I tried to turn it on it just booted directly into the TWRP Recovery and I received a "failed to mount system" error (No OS installed, No Partition). I saw similar posts where people were having similar issues once the battery ran down. I decided to give the 18 ROM a try.

    I know I could post this in the 16 forum but since I moved on to the 18 ROM, thought I would just let you know by posting this info here.

    Currently Testing:

    * GT-N8013
    * TWRP 3.5.2_9-1
    * lineage-18.1-20220106-HTML6405-n8010 (Works for N8013 as well)
    * open_gapps-arm-11.0-pico-20211207
    * Magisk - 5f4cd50c (23017) (23) ROOTED [Root Checker Pro]
    * ROM Does NOT Pass SafteyNet Check
    * Battery replaced two years ago

    So far I have NOT allowed the battery to run all the way down since installing the 18.1-20220106 ROM. As a matter of fact it has been pretty much plugged in all the time. The battery drain issues and not proper reading of the actual battery % has been an issue (1-20% remaining causing shutdown) since Nougat. I have experienced shutdown issues. I tried replacing my battery two years ago as stated above.

    Observations:

    1) I have many "paid" apps that I install manually (not from the Play Store) once the ROM is flashed and stable. As mentioned from a member about apps not working properly, when I install the paid apps they will install but when first launched they crash until I reboot then they run properly.

    2) After the ROM is installed while going through the initial setup it does not connect to the wifi network and you receive a message that it can not connect and you have to hit the back button and it will then connect to your wifi. I have experienced this on other Lineage ROMs for the N8013 and phones as well.

    3) I do not like the swipe up feature to go to the "Home Page" or the right to left swipe to "Go Back" I find them cumbersome and always getting in the way. I change those settings to show the BACK-HOME-RECENT buttons at the bottom of the screen.

    4) I mainly use the tablet in "Landscape Mode". The "Favorites Tray" appears on the right side of the screen instead of the bottom of screen (in landscape mode).

    5) I have had apps crash / reboot the system multiple times

    Outside of these issues the ROM seems to run fairly well and No lightning bug issues.

    Many thanks to @html6405

    Update 06.01.2022:
    • Fixed shutdown / reboot behaviour with installed magisk
    • Set swappiness to 60
    • Didn't changed anything related to the screen lightning bug in this builds.
    But I will upload another build for the n8000 (lineage-18.1-20220106-HTML6405-n8000_TEST.zip), @jsmidev would be great if you could test also this build and compare them.
    Depending on the screen lightning bug and the power consumption.
    Every tester is welcome.
    Now we have 2 different attempts, the best solution will stay so far (less buggy and better power consumption), at the moment we're using the second attempt.

    And finally it seems it's the end of life for my beloved n8000, as @html6405 mentioned.

    Tried flashing stock rom, recovery etc. using odin. When rebooting it showed the welcome screen of the same old twrp and returned to boot loop suggesting that it's not taking anything anymore...

    RIP.

    Had been personally attached to this great device, my first smart/touch device, which had been with me since 2014. That's 8 long years. Brilliant!

    Unlike many other users, I'd been using this as my primary tablet till its end.

    I may not be taking it to the service centre, rather would like to keep it with me for memory.

    And the brilliant performance has made me confident about Samsung. Hopefully I'll get a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite soon.

    And my heartfelt thanks to @html6405 and a couple of other developers who kept it alive and healthy throughout these years ♥️♥️. Except for that username @html6405 , I don't know who you're or where you hail from, but I'm thankful to you on behalf of my n8000. @lirokoa, @Don Carnage too.

    It's sad to have to bid farewell to this endeavour and this community. But everything has the end of its life.

    Hopefully I'll be around here with my new device.

    Thank you all once again. Hats off to your commitment and dedication.

    It had been a great journey with all of you!

    Didn't work this time 😕. It seems I'll have to bid farewell to you and this great endeavour. I have put it on charge for some time to see if something happens. Let's wait.
    Hi
    I've been through a similar situation. I thought I lost the device. But it turned out to be only the charging cable that was bad.
    There was another situation where I could only recharge by putting it in download mode.
    Don't give up.

    I keep getting am error when flashing GApps saying that the system partition is too small. See attached picture. I've tried all the different Lineage OS 18.1 for the N8013 and all the different GApps for both 32 bit Android 11 with the same results. I've tried it before and after wiping everything but the microsd card and it just isn't happening. Any ideas? I really need GApps on this so I can use Canva, which I have to get from the Play Store.
    Only the Pico gapps fit. After that, download anything else you need from the play store

    Do you have magisk installed?

    Hmm this is new to me, there has nothing changed.

    Same question, are you using Magisk?

    Is it the same behaviour?

    Edit: Magisk seems to cause a crash in the __send_signal function, which causes the weird shutdown / reboot issue:

    <4>[ 358.819458] c1 PC is at __send_signal+0x1dc/0x3bc
    <4>[ 358.819497] c1 LR is at 0x0

    Tested it now many times without Magisk installed.
    Worked out what the problem was - still very strange how and why it happened.

    Reverting back to version 2 updates back again, brought everything back to working order.

    Then i had Forgotten that I put in a faulty SD card (PC or tablet wouldn't recognise it) - took it out and reflashed with latest update, everything worked straight away.

    Sorry for wasting your time.

    Cheers

    Hi,

    here you can find my preview build version of LineageOS 18.1 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
    At first I want to thank @forkbomb444, @rINanDO, @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot to bring this up.

    This is a early BETA build, so don't install it if you want a completley stable rom and don't report my already listet bugs!

    I'm working nearly every day on our N80xx devices, because LOS18 runs much smoother than LOS17.1, I will continue here.

    When you have BitGapps installed, you have to reflash them after every update!

    Here you can see how far everything is working for now.

    N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
    • Boot
    • Audio
    • Bluetooth
    • Graphics
    • Cameras
    • Sensors
    • Wifi
    • GPS
    • USB
    • Video playback (HW/SW)
    • Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
    • consumerir transmitter
    • Stylus with gestures and hovering icon
    • sec keyboard dock
    • RIL on N8000 (mobile connection)
    • much more...
    • Video recording with both cameras
    • Power off charging animation fixed
    • GPS
    • LiveDisplay
    • Magisk Root fixed
    • OTA Updates
    • Screen Cast, Chromecast did work, Samsung TV not
    • Main camera sometimes can't take a picture (reopen app or lower resolution)
    • Random reboots
    • Maybe more
    • N8020: RIL works 90%
    • Screen lightning bug
    • SD-Card can't be formatted as internal storage, this will cause a bootloop
    You could use a gps.conf from https://app.box.com/s/w57s1v1n3hie7l5lk28i for your location and replace /system/etc/gps.conf.
    Or you try GPS Server Optimizer app for a faster 3D fix.
    For both methods you need root rights.
    If you are going to use Gapps,
    here you can download them:
    Open Gapps
    For the others, you can use microG in future.

    If you plan to use a sim card in your device, I would recommend to disable the pin code before with another device.
    In some cases the sim card becomes unusable while typing in the code.

    Do you like my work?
    Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
    I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

    donate

    This ROM is alpha, nobody can force me to bring any updates,
    I'm doing this in my freetime, so be thankful if you get something.

    I will proceed here as soon as I will have time, I didn't have LOS16.0 completed and I'm working hard to provide you a stable ROM.
    LOS 16.0 is our major version, on LOS18.1 is much more work todo and much more framework hackings to get LOS18.1 as good compatible as possible.

    I'm overtaking many things I make for LOS16.0 to 18.1, but this take's time.
    I hate it if I get stressed, so please be patent or do it by your own,
    this takes really much time, debugging, try things and so on.
