So I upgraded from 17.1. Did a full reformat.

I'm getting random lockups. Usually overnight. I'll try to use device in morning but the screen is blank. Need to hold power for 20 seconds to get device to restart.

It's happened about 4 times since I upgraded.

This morning it took 3 cycles of holding down the power key for 20 seconds. The first two times the white Mi/unlocked text appeared but then the device shutdown again.

I assumed the battery was dead but on the third cycle the Lineage graphics appeared and when the OS came up it was at 65%.

Update new rom lineage-18.1-20211102-UNOFFICIAL-clover-eas.zip with changelog :
- October security patch
- remove miui cam to get rom working without gapps.

Note : it need to remove miui cam apk from existing installed rom before installing this rom to get working or the easy ways is format data before flash this rom.

I put separate thread for LineageOS 19
I have the latest update installed, everything works fine except the night light and the reading mode. Are you going to continue updating this version to fix these bugs or are you going to focus on version 19.0? Thank you!!

Managed to dirty flash to this over the Sept release. Everything is work fine except I lost the night light no matter if I turn it on or off manual, the screen will remain as without night light.

Any idea what is going on?

The only change Sept -> Oct is removing miui camera and upstream update of lineage source.
It may because of lineage source update, can someone try to use permissive and rooted kernel and check it whether those issue is working? And send me the log please? I can't check it as my device is running android 12...need to backup, format and restore data to downgrade to android 11, and I have no time to do it...

I don't have the October version installed, so I can't help you by doing the tests you request. I have reverted to the September version until I have time to do a clean install and switch to android 12.

I mean October security patch....or latest rom... sorry to make misunderstanding....
I am sorry for the misunderstanding, I have also explained myself wrong, I wanted to say that I have returned from the last version of November to the version of September, which has the MIUI camera and does not give me the problems with the reading mode, which I use a lot . Sorry but I don't speak English and I have to use Google Translate and sometimes it becomes difficult to interact in this forum.

I installed version 19 and then moved to 18 (19 it's very fluid but needs optimization, a ball appears on the lock screen as if the fp were on the screen, improvements in menus and bars)

in this version (18) i could not activate the night light option, it is not working,
miracast is not working either, the rest is very stable, only once did the rom freeze, the screen went all black, and i had to restart to go back, but so far it hasn't happened anymore

Had this happen again. Always happens overnight while I am sleeping. This time (and maybe last) device was plugged into wall charger. My recollection is that first time it happened it was not. It's happened at least 3 times now.

In morning black screen. Forced boot (holding power), Mi logo, then reboot without Lineage starting. This time after 5 attempts it would still not start lineage. I left it for 20 mins tried again, held power key for 10 secs, Mi Logo appeared and finally lineage boot graphic appeared.

I just got a PM from someone else having same issue.

I didn't see if I could boot into recovery, I should have and will next time.

This has only started happening since I flashed 18.1 (previously running 17.1 Lineage).

Try 19.0 and let me know if you still have same issue.

New update : see 1st post for the link
    - September security patch.
    - Add support for app signature spoofing (not tested).

I also upload new kernel 4.4.283 for anyone who want to try it.

FWIW, I've used MagiskHide Props Config Magisk module to change Xiaomi Mi 6X fingerprint (xiaomi/wayne/wayne:8.1.0/OPM1.171019.011/V9.5.11.0.ODCCNFA:user/release-keys) to Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 China (Xiaomi/clover/clover:8.1.0/OPM1.171019.019/V10.1.1.0.ODJCNFI:user/release-keys) from MHPC repo.

Either value works fine to pass safetynet along with Universal SafetyNet Fix module. 👍 PW

Yes...just try it and it pass the safetynet...and build new rom along with some updates in blobs and integrate it with EAS kernel...

I am waiting update April security patch to release the rom.
