LineageOS 18.1 [R] [11] (Unofficial) Mi Pad 4 Plus (clover)

I did run "lineage-18.1-20210315-UNOFFICIAL-clover.zip" for almost one year without major issues. Today I did a clean install to "lineage-18.1-20211102-UNOFFICIAL-clover-eas.zip". I can confirm the night light has stopped working somehow which I use quite often. Eventually I'll stick to second last release of 18.1 (lineage-18.1-20210920-UNOFFICIAL-clover.zip) until LOS 19 will be officially released and the rough edges are gone in the lineageos source.. There is no rush as 18.1 runs pretty stable on my device.

However, another dev was build latest build of this rom with Dec'21 security patch. Here is the link :

Thank's for the notice. That release doesn't work for me at all. It boots always straight into TWRP regardless if clean or dirty flash. Unfortunately I didn't make a backup before. As I said I'll stay with your latest 18.1.

You may need to update your twrp to support fbe. And you can just reflash the previous build rom without loosing your data.

I do have the latest twrp 3.6.9.. It is not that important to have the Dec security patch. Don't worry.

Its not only latest security patch, but its about light night that you need.
Anyway, latest lineageos 19.0 build also has working light night.

I didn't try lineage-18.1-clover-20211218-2055.zip build, as it also not build by me but other devs. Not sure why its bootloop in your device as some user said it's working normal.

You may try lineageos 19.0 November build, it's less bug and safety net pass.

Glad to see somebody to build lineageos 18.1 for clover as I can't build it due to I am in lineageos 19.0. Attached is local manifest to build lineageos 18.1 hmp version. The hmp version is refer to official tree of lineageos 18.1.
If you want to build eas version, you need to change each trees to eas version that provide in my github.
Let me know if you need any guidance.

Hi - your best bet is to fastboot OE IMG and then go from there. Most ROMS will require that anyway

Why did you choose kernel 4.19 rather than 5.10? 5.10 has Projected EOL on Dec, 2026 while 4.19 will end its life during Dec, 2024.

LineageOS 18.1, see this link

Installation instructions :
- Download the zip(s).
- Install latest TWRP for clover
- Perform a backup of your current ROM (optional)
- Wipe dalvik/cache (upgrade from lineageos 18.1) and wipe system/data if upgrade from other rom.
- Flash ROM.
- Flash GApps (NikGApps is recommended) is a must.
- Optional: Flash latest Magisk for root.

Everything should work.

Hi!

I am new to this rom and i just found this by google search. I just want to thank the dev for this wonderful rom. Everything works on my end esp my midi apps as a keyboardist. Many people did say that havocOS was the best for mi pad 4 series but then i had lockscreen issues on that one.

Anyways..i havent tried this with an sdcard if it reads. I just hope it does as my mi pad 4 plus has a pathetic 64GB only and my 256GB arrives tomorrow. Hehe
