Hi,

here you can find my preview version of LineageOS 19.0 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
At first I want to thank @rINanDO and @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot.

This is a early ALPHA build, also on the LineageOS side, so don't install it if you want a completley stable rom and don't report my already listet bugs!

When you have BitGapps installed, you have to reflash them after every update!

Here you can see how far everything is working for now.

N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
  • Boot
  • Bluetooth
  • Audio
  • Graphics
  • Cameras
  • Sensors
  • GPS
  • Wifi
  • USB
  • Video playback (HW/SW)
  • Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
  • consumerir transmitter
  • Stylus with gestures and hovering icon
  • sec keyboard dock
  • RIL on N8000 (mobile connection)
  • much more...
  • Video recording with both cameras
  • N8020: RIL
  • Random reboots
  • Maybe more
  • Screen lightning bug
  • SD-Card can't be formatted as internal storage, this will cause a bootloop
If you don't like it, reboot into recovery and type the following command:
If you are going to use BitGapps,
here you can download them:
BitGapps, arm, 12
For the others, you can use microG in future.

If you plan to use a sim card in your device, I would recommend to disable the pin code before with another device.
In some cases the sim card becomes unusable while typing in the code.

Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

Kindly add the original bootsplash script to restore to original bootsplash ...
This rom changed my bootsplash. Pls add the zip to revert it if anyone want to switch back ....

The rom is running super smooth without gapps

Bugs -:
•) The Quick Settings in Portrait mode is not adjusting to the device size ...
The notifications also get squeezed
•) Lock Icon on lockscreen is upside-down
•) Taskbar Modification from settings not working

I'll add more if I found

Thx
@html6405

You're right, there are many more bugs, many settings are still missing / incomplete.
It's in a real early stage.

Also, does this rom support OTA ?
And is there any Device Group on telegram or anywhere else ?
Yep, OTA does work and no, there is no group.

Which branch did you use to build the ROM? Is the repo manifest available somewhere?

lineage-19.0, but they aren't up to date, I will push them soon.

Thx, i thought that it will be the same case, it's the same Kernel ;).
If the sdcard is formatted as a portable storage, it should work.
But this bug is listed above.
:sneaky:I will keep hope this can be fixed! In the process of trying this, i found that the TWRP of another phone can format the SDcard, Is it possible to add this feature to our TWRP, but the recovery partition of our device is a bit too small.

If there is a trade-off, i suggest the language file can be deleted. just keep English, the TWRP operation is very simple.
This would only work for not official versions,
in the official TWRP, we are already using the small language pack.

But I will have to find some space anyway for the next release.

Hey, are you interested in making OC profile for them?, I wanna help
I can beta test / private test them and adjust voltages, I would have done that myself by decompiling the kernel to change the CPU0 seems kinda hardish right now since I don't have a lot of experience with that
I remember people were running the CPU around 1700-1750Mhz ish mark same on the 8" and Note 2
also, I noticed the GPU in this kernel isn't appearing in apps for some reason
after digging in I found it runs at 533mhz, the mali400MP can run at 600mhz
you can still make the kernel "Overclockable" by leaving it at stock speeds but adding 4-6 more tiers to scaling ava freq after 1600MHz as:
1650
1700
1725
1750
1775
1800
Edit/Forgot to say: I did some tests with it Running at performance governer at 1600mhz, it was a way smoother and far better experience, the interactive one either isn't fast enough or bad, I got around 300-400extra points in PC mark (from 2600 to 2950 average) that's around 14% increase in performance!

Hi,
the kernel is already to the highest usable level overclocked.
I've enabled all the frequencies up to 1800 earlier (LOS16), but everything over 1600 MHz was too unstable,
so I've removed them.
by leaving it at stock speeds
stock speed is 1400 MHz ;).

That's true, but it's less energy efficient, I recommend everybody to use Kernel aduiator to switch to performance after every boot (if they want to use it).

The problem is if I reenable the higher frequencies, people will try to overclock and land in a bootloop,
then they claim me for doing this...

can you at least provide the modified kernel boot.img with a warning?
I used to run this thing on a 1704Kernel if I remember correctly
the stock speed is in fact 1.4ghz, maybe I remember stuff from the note 2 😅
I use FKM it works pretty well with me

Hello,
Guys, I don't know if there will be a solution. But I read that Google intends to end the support of applications that use 32bis processors and it is already mandatory for developers to provide the 64bit version. And already have apps only in the 64bit version on the Play Store. The question is: Will we have a way around this and install 64bit apps on our tablet? Our old man still has a lot of wood to burn with the help of our friend Html6405 who is bringing Android 12 to us.

That's true, but we don't have it from LineageOS yet.
I understand, I was just wondering. Thank you for the work you've done, you're great!

That's the screen lightning bug, could you report if this happens without magisk again?
It happens with magisk installed, I'll report back if it happens without magisk installed

    Hi,
I'm using this rom and I intend to keep it until we reach the final version or the arrival of the Version with Android 12L. This rom is very promising, I'll report the Bugs I found just to contribute, because I know it's still in Alpha and there's still a lot to be done to adapt it so that our device works properly:
1 - Even without Magisk the lightning on the screen still exists. (I only used magisk to install the Viper4 Audio Module, but I figured out how to install the module's drivers without magisk via a ZIP file via TWRP.)
2 - The device restarts when I plug in the headphone.
3 - Sometimes the screen goes dark and you have to force the restart.
4 - The pen response still seems slow, I have to press more for the writing to come out.
But I have to congratulate the great work you have done for our device.

I hope that there will be a version from LineageOS, otherwise I would have to fork the Android 12L repos and also have to port everything, but we will see.

Ah ok, I will test this soon and bring a fix.
3 - Sometimes the screen goes dark and you have to force the restart.
I've never faced this, maybe you could create a dmesg when this happens?
4 - The pen response still seems slow, I have to press more for the writing to come out.

The PEN should work exactly as it did on LineageOS 18.1, nothing related changed.

    Settings :
-Quick/Notification bar settings don't adjust the correct way when in portrait
-Cast Screen will put the device into reboot then wifi won't work until you manually reboot again
-Display>Color is simply Empty for some reason
    -Status Bar modification not working
These things could get solved from LineageOS, it's really also an early on there side.
-Flashlight Not working (Error in log cat)
Yep, I think this is because we have to use camera hal v1 to run on Android 12, maybe I will find a solution for this.
-Lock screen lock is upside down
    -> LineageOS
-Screen brightness slider is not calibrated
-Display Config is confused for nits mapping when unlocking the Device
Because of the changed auto brightness behaviour of Android 11 and 12,
our old defined auto brightness array and lux values doesn't fit anymore.
NITS defines how much brightness a display emits, I don't have any values for them and no measuring device.
(We would have to measure stepwise to define the array)
Maybe a will define and test an array from an other device later.
-When an app launches, the app preview icon is blurry
It's the same as on LineageOS 18.1, I'm not sure why, if I build AOSP all icons have a fitting resolution.
-Seems to be a problem with wifi , (E WifiVendorHal: getWifiLinkLayerStats_1_3_Internal(l.1168) failed {.code = ERROR_UNKNOWN, .description = unknown error}) happens on idle a lot around once every 2-5 sec
I don't know what ERROR_UNKNOWN is, I will check this.
-System server cant obtain CPU frequency count
Maybe because of the missing power hal.
Which ones? Had no problems on my n8000 so far.
BTW because we are using old blobs, some log stuff can be ignored as long it works.

-Touch Controller Giving an error sometimes
They can be also ignored, they were alway's there.

But in generell, I will try to fix all important stuff step by step,
    it just will take time.
