Oh, sorry. I just never use the stock android OS on any of my phone since the very first one. Always have been on Cyanogen/LineageOS. I don't know what feature is specific to Lineage or not. My bad.
BTW, great job man for keeping this phone up to date
Are you sure you have both the Magisk app loaded at Version 23 and you loaded it in TWRP...so on the Magisk home screen you have as below?

OK..I have Google Play, Google Play Devices and Google Play Services for AR all fully selected so that all sub elements are ticked and the bar (at the top of each if the Google's...) is fully across...I also have the Magisk App hidden...
Don't forget to add Google Play Services (without AR).
Clear Cache (for all of those) and Data (at least for Play Services) and restart the phone.

You need to install TWRP 3.5, version 3.6 is buggy on Android 10
Lineage 17 didn't work for me either. Lineage 18.1 worked.
EDIT: After a complete wipe, including DATA, finally instaled 19.0
For me, Seedvault backup does not work (storage access error). But I assume that is a LineageOS problem, right?
I have made this account, just to comment on this rom and thank Ivan for all the work. It was a bit slow the first couple of days, but now it's working really smooth and I love it. Feels really good to be up to date with an older device.
For me personally the only thing that it would made it perfect is a working status bar brightness slider, because it's a bit cumbersome to double expand the menu to get to the brightness slider. Other than that, flawless experience so far.
Let's get this man some more coffee. I will donate on 15th when I get payed. Ivan, do you maybe have Revolut QR code or something like that, because I'm locked out of my paypal and cannot use it? An alternative would be great.

Oh hey yeah i do have revolut i can send you qr in message as for status bar brightness slider thats one of features that will be merged in lineageos in the future.
Speaking of Im compiling new build with december security update and few more lineageos features merged, ill test builds and release them after that (Probably tomorrow)

After installing this ROM, does the ROM get updates automatically (like regular android os) including security updates - or has does this need to be manually done each time there's a release provided here ?
Also, if manual, is there a process without wiping the installed apps & data ?

5Here we go, March security update is here.
LineageOS 21 builds wont get update this time around as new qpr is still being merged and fixed up
There were a lot of changes from google in their quarterly platform update soboth LineageOS codebase
and some device changes are needed for it to be on par with previous builds.
There will be april builds for it soon so it made no sense to push half baked update today.
As always huge thanks to everyone who donated to help cover the build server cost.

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
a) Logcat
b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
c) data/tombstones
d) dmesg
Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32
Also make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support
If you want to use Magisk use latest Magisk Beta (25.0) or Magisk 24.1, there is bug in 24.3 that was fixed after its release that prevents zygisk from working on some devices with 3.18 kernel

24here it is August security update
Nothing major in this one as i am still working behind the scenes on that huge update i talked about previously which involves rewrite of almost whole graphics and media stack (its almost finished but i still have to do a bit more testing just to make sure there is no regression)
In other news android 13 should be released next month and since there were no major changes s7 should be running it soon after release with not too many issues and ill try to take a few days off from work to get it up and running on it once source is out

Im aware of Seedvault issue curently present and im working on a fix for it.
I wanted to release something as a gift from me to everyone using this rom and supporting this project throughout the years. Keeping older phones alive and up to date is really fun hobby and I don't think I would've kept doing it if it wasnt for all of the support from the comunity.
