Before and after the update wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache.
So, everytime I want to update, I will need to dirty flash 3 zip files plus wiping cache? Thanks.
No, not needed. I usually only flash the update & wipe cache + dalvik cache (which are optional too). Magisk if you're already using, will not be erased after the rom update, nor the gapps, if they have a survival script like opengapps or flame gapps. You only need to flash gapps after updating the rom if they haven't a survival script.
May a complicated and a simple answer complement each other. My experience with Magisk is not the same .... but you have survival scripts

Hi Ivan. thanks for your great work. just a couple of items Ive noticed after reflashing this again (clean, format data etc, load your ROM and NikGapps (core version), reboot.
1. audio sound quality on voice calls is quite choppy and clicks can be heard in the background when making calls (3g or 4g). This isn't the Samsung echo issue but something to do with this ROM version (I believe) as the same audio issue doesn't appear on express Luke's android 12 pixel experience version which I've been running for the last week. I noticed this choppy call issue on the last two of your ROM's as well.
2. The data issue i mentioned - I'll track this for the next few days to see if the "flooding" of data messages from Signal and Telegram reappear while on Wifi.
Finally the reasons I like your ROM over the pixel experience is that this appears to be lighter, smoother and more response so thanks for your work and it's always appreciated.
Thank you @Ivan_Meler for this awesome project. I am considering to switch this rom for daily driver. I just want to confirm one thing about echo problem. Is it only happening when on speaker or is it always there? I mean the other side of the call hear echo all the time? If this is not the case, I will definitely switch.
Maybe not the best for voice calls, see my notes above. Might be a bit early in the development cycle.

choose the "core" version at around 80 megs. the other option if you don't want to use google is to install the ROM, then boot it into the main screen, do your initial setup and then load up the default browser and search for "fdroid", load the apk file and install it and then wait for it to update its database of apps (it doesnt install them so you dont need to worry about storage space) and then look for Aurora Store. this is the same as google playstore and you can choose the apps you want to install. You may also be able to install Aurora Store directly but I've not tried this option yet. hopefully that helps and is not to far off topic.

Not really. Because of that I'm still using the one from 6th, January without call problems. In my case later ones are louder and that's maybe causing overdrive.

metroI think the problem is with the black of the system, it's something from the rom it seems.
Yes, the color of this page is black and white, certainly if you choose for
dark mode ... the other colors in the settings of the apps and Rom are influenced by the choise of your wallpaper or lock screen !

I also continued work and testing of new power hal ive been working on for past month or so, Hopefully ill release build with it in a few days (If time allows me as i do this in my free time as a hobby)
Power hal seems to perform better and manage battery life and performance way better than curent one but i would like to test it further before releasing it
As always huge thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped me cover the build server cost which is one of reason why this project is still alive keeping s7 up to date with software, New power hal will improve things even further so i cant wait to release next build with it

- Switched to new libperfmgr power hal which can be configured from /system/vendor/etc/powerhints.json
- Adapted DT2W to new power hal
- Muted phone services gps notif (Thanks google really appreciate you breaking random things for everyone)
- Improved battery life and performance
- Cleaned up all of leftover patches that were used by legacy power hal
- Synced with LineageOS source
This update has new power hal which took quite a long time to get working properly
It also outperforms old one and battery life is also better with it since it handles power management way better

well you have to pass safetynet for it to work likely, My rom doesnt include any hacks so you will have to install magisk (24.1) and https://github.com/kdrag0n/safetynet-fix yourself you can use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rikka.safetynetchecker to check your safetynet status afterwards -

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper

Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
Since most gapps didnt update for 12L yet (SDK bumped from 31 to 32) i edited falmegapps and uploaded them here use them if you cant find gapps that work on 12L https://mega.nz/folder/FFoS1IIK#XunGRNTViQY7-OZ8oQr0sg
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32
Make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support

Status: Stable20Well here are some progress update of whats happening behind the scenes.
Ive given 4.4 kernel from 8895 another go and got even further in porting it to 8890 devices this time around.
Mali drivers are ported so is decon (display and graphics stack is up)
I also managed to port audio drivers, buttons and their backlight.
UFS storage drivers were somewhat pain but i got them to work too
and there is tons of small stuff like fp sensor,thermal driver and misc
Tho im not sure it makes too much sense to do this as 4.4 kernel is eol too at least it has full bpf support which i got working on 8895 devices
Other than that there is not too much going on right now, There are few selinux policies that will have to be dealt with and im still dealing with audio config
tho i could only notice echo and not robotic voice some people noticed so that leads me to believe it could be related to weird modem missmatches
I might release another quick build this month with few audio related improvements
No etas as i do this in my free time, And as always thanks to everyone who supported this project so fat as thanks to them this project and device are still alive on latest android version even 6 years after its release (fun fact s7 series was announced on 21. feb. 2016.) so this is somewhat of a s7 birthday update on progress17Well here we go first build of the year, andquite a big one while at it

About camera, As some of you might be aware camera tends to crash afterprolongued use, Im investigatinga fix for it but due to nature of issue itself it might take time
to figure this out completely and what the best way to deal with it is.
