Hi. I've noticed the same behavior as well. it's almost like a cache or that the network data side is going to sleep. I've noticed this on apps like Signal and Telegram. Seems to happen with wifi on or off but it seems noticeable after the device is locked (screen lock) and then you wake the device and then go to your app and a flood of messages update themselves or reconnect.
Any help Ivan would be appreciated

Assuming you were on LOS 19.0 beforehand, did you remember to flash Gapps when updating too?Anybody having the rom not booting up !

Ivan previously posted about flashing both LOS & Gapps even when doing minor updates. (Assuming for Gapps you are using one without a update survival script like BitGapps)
True. I didn't flash Gapps after update. When the flashing was ongoing, it read in script that Gapps are being backed up then restored. So I figured no need to flash them after the update.
So should I Flash the rom again then flash Gapps?
The best practice seems to be ... to flash both in "one zip" (TWRP https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys7edge.html) and even three "in one" if you also want Magisk back on your phone. This is the way all apps get "integrated" again in the new system. Enjoy your Sunday !
I rolled back to the firmware, there seemed to be no such problems. lineage-19.0-20211220-UNOFFICIAL-hero2lte.zip
Anyone have a working twrp that can read encrypted /data on this rom? latest one does't prompt me for password and log shows it cant find the encryption footer.
Thanks, I've just tried express lukes version of pixel experience on Android 12 and that doesn't seem to have this network cache (when disconnecting and then connecting to wifi again and then the messages flood in again) issue.
might be something in this particular firmware revision/latest changes. I'll wait until Ivan posts a response.
Hey I just did a fresh install of the most recent build and flashed bitgapps. I did this exact thing:
- On TWRP, I flashed Lineageos 19, then BitGapps12, then the Setup Wizard.
- When I booted, everything seemed fine, but nothing would download. All the apps during download are stuck on "Waiting for Wifi"
- I tried using Pixelify and Magisk Props Hide Config for Pixel 6 Pro, but neither of them did anything
Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?

First time I read about a Setup Wizard ! ???
Is it possible that you are not on the S7 Edge ?
Check in the play market - Settings - Connection settings - download applications - any network
Yeah, here's the link to where I found it. It says you're supposed to use the config file, but I thought I would just flash it in TWRP. Here's the link to see the zip files.
I am on S7 Edge, trust me. I've used 18.1 as well and I'm finding it's more stable than 19 and smoother. Currently, I'm using NikGapps on Lineageos 19 and so far it's working except for assistant.
Update: So It is the setup wizard that is messing with the playstore. I'm not sure how, but it's blocking my wifi connection even though I'm connected to wifi.

Unclear for me where these patches are used for. The Bitgapps are functioning well and I don't use what I don't need. So I need the apps and not the patches (─‿‿─).

- Added back lineageos setup wizard present on clean installs
- Merged some of previously missing features that have been ported over to LineageOS 19
- Performance and stability improvements
- Synced with LOS source
Most of the changes in this build are under the hood

together with 2 commits required for a12 in readme

2Here we go, March security update is here.
LineageOS 21 builds wont get update this time around as new qpr is still being merged and fixed up
There were a lot of changes from google in their quarterly platform update soboth LineageOS codebase
and some device changes are needed for it to be on par with previous builds.
There will be april builds for it soon so it made no sense to push half baked update today.

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
a) Logcat
b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
c) data/tombstones
d) dmesg
Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32
Also make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support
If you want to use Magisk use latest Magisk Beta (25.0) or Magisk 24.1, there is bug in 24.3 that was fixed after its release that prevents zygisk from working on some devices with 3.18 kernel

enjoy android 12 and stay safe21Well here are some progress update of whats happening behind the scenes.
Ive given 4.4 kernel from 8895 another go and got even further in porting it to 8890 devices this time around.
Mali drivers are ported so is decon (display and graphics stack is up)
I also managed to port audio drivers, buttons and their backlight.
UFS storage drivers were somewhat pain but i got them to work too
and there is tons of small stuff like fp sensor,thermal driver and misc
Tho im not sure it makes too much sense to do this as 4.4 kernel is eol too at least it has full bpf support which i got working on 8895 devices
Other than that there is not too much going on right now, There are few selinux policies that will have to be dealt with and im still dealing with audio config
tho i could only notice echo and not robotic voice some people noticed so that leads me to believe it could be related to weird modem missmatches
I might release another quick build this month with few audio related improvements
No etas as i do this in my free time, And as always thanks to everyone who supported this project so fat as thanks to them this project and device are still alive on latest android version even 6 years after its release (fun fact s7 series was announced on 21. feb. 2016.) so this is somewhat of a s7 birthday update on progress17Well here we go first build of the year, andquite a big one while at it

About camera, As some of you might be aware camera tends to crash afterprolongued use, Im investigatinga fix for it but due to nature of issue itself it might take time
to figure this out completely and what the best way to deal with it is.
