You don't mention the version of TWRP. Anyway you should use 3.6.0_9-0. This might make the difference. Flash it over an older version ... no problem but only 3.6.0_9-0 , you'll find it on the official TWRP website and is in the upkeep of @Ivan_Meler ...

The highest version of TWRP that seems to work AT ALL on my S7 is 3.5.1_9-0. Anything higher will suffer the same locked-in-splash-screen fate no matter what. Attempting to flash 3.6.0_9-0 will result in a yellow-tinted splash screen that just sits there, and this is EVER BEFORE I install Lineage 19. If I have to use this build of TWRP, do you have any idea why it refuses to even work on my S7 to begin with? My model is the SM-G930W8 (the Canadian version with the Exynos 8890).
UPDATE: I had a closer look at the later versions of TWRP I'd been trying to install and I discovered a subtle difference. The one I'd tried to install was called:
twrp-3.6.0_9-0-hero2lte.img.tar
I missed that "2" in there, and so I obtained the correct file, which was of course:
twrp-3.6.0_9-0-herolte.img.tar
That one installed correctly. I will try reflashing Lineage 19 using that build of TWRP and see if the problem goes away.

twrp-3.6.0_9-0-hero2lte.img.tar is created for the S7 EDGE .....small but important difference. Enjoy your weekend !
Not constantly on my device, so that it's really difficult to say which factor causes the echoes in a specific situation.
Installed over previous los 18.1 (system,cache-wipe). Works great. Thank you Ivan!

I had problems with latest twrp and had to use twrp-3.5.1_9-0-herolte.img
Not sure if it will fix your situation though.

My first custom ROM was CyanogenMod on my S2. Yesterday I was still running Ivan's LOS 16 build, today it's LOS 19, but omg what happened to the OpenGapps project? Easy and user-friendly, just pick your package and install, no messing with configs.
Going through the documentation for a standard installation of BitGapps I'm asking myself if I got something completely wrong here.
Do I really have to install an additional recovery tool to install additional packages or change values in config to get the usual Samsung Setup Wizard? Any hints are highly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

NikGapps is easier to install...choose your core items and then choose add on packages. Load your ROM and then each NikGapps zip file in TWRP before rebooting into system.
Thanks for your reply. Didn't want to give up and got BitGapps running including config and Addon installation. Only thing I'm currently missing is the swipe input method when writing.

Yeah, did that. Usually the AOSP keyboard should be able to, but not sure if these features were implemented. Thanks anyways.

Well here we go quite a big update mid week (covid hit me so i had more time to mess with s7 instead of doing actual work haha)
Anywya here is a brief changelog
- Enabled selinux (Its enforcing now)
- Moved audio hal to vendor
- Fixed confirmation dialog box for button backlight
- Fixed ok button which would go missing for button backlight
- Switched to source built secril_config_svc (used for ds detection)
- Removed obsolete debug.sf.disable_backpressure prop
- Merged latest security updates to kernel from aosp kernel/common
- Cleaned up source
- Cleaned up unused props
- Removed unused custom ld.config.txt that was overriding main one
- Misc performance and stability improvements
- Synced with LOS source

Very nice indeed Ivan, dirty flash went into bootloop, but did a proper wipe and fresh install, and love the updates, I have noticed screen on time since last full charge now recording, no clipping of app icons at the top in the app drawer, that is just what I have noticed having a quick play, impressive.

Oh weird that you had to clean flash, i tested both clean and dirty update. First thing is related to google apps and not the rom itself
There definitely is blue light filter, Go to settings>display>LiveDisplay>Display Mode1
For starters, I don't even say that the problem is necessarily a change that Ivan made; it may be a change in the synced LOS source for all we know! But the problem is definitely one (or multiple) of the things that changed between the previous build and the one that moved audio to vendor.
Nonetheless, what you are implying with your statement? Do you believe in the kind of magic that makes phone audio break for many devices exactly at the time they install the same update but it has nothing to do with the underlying code? Come on, give me a break! EDIT: Thanks for the hint toward the 3G issue, but the fact still remains that the issue only occurs with and after that particular build. Even if the undesirable behavior is on the network/operator side, it only happens to give problems together with the ROM versions after that Jan build. So finding the code change in question would at least open the door for a workaround.
To clarify: I am not criticizing @Ivan_Meler or his work. In fact, I appreciate his effort very much! His work is the reason why I am still hanging on to this phone! So what I am saying is that I don't even expect Ivan to fix the issue because he has no way of reproducing it. But those who can reproduce the problem don't have access to the code changes, which prevents them from hunting the bug down. If the code changes of that particular build were accessible there would be a reasonable chance that one of us finds the issue. -

- Switched to new libperfmgr power hal which can be configured from /system/vendor/etc/powerhints.json
- Adapted DT2W to new power hal
- Muted phone services gps notif (Thanks google really appreciate you breaking random things for everyone)
- Improved battery life and performance
- Cleaned up all of leftover patches that were used by legacy power hal

This update has new power hal which took quite a long time to get working properly
It also outperforms old one and battery life is also better with it since it handles power management way better

I also continued work and testing of new power hal ive been working on for past month or so, Hopefully ill release build with it in a few days (If time allows me as i do this in my free time as a hobby)
Power hal seems to perform better and manage battery life and performance way better than curent one but i would like to test it further before releasing it

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper

Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
Since most gapps didnt update for 12L yet (SDK bumped from 31 to 32) i edited falmegapps and uploaded them here use them if you cant find gapps that work on 12L https://mega.nz/folder/FFoS1IIK#XunGRNTViQY7-OZ8oQr0sg
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 3212L/aka 12.1
Make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support

About camera, As some of you might be aware camera tends to crash afterprolongued use, Im investigatinga fix for it but due to nature of issue itself it might take time
to figure this out completely and what the best way to deal with it is.
