Hello and welcome,
I can suggest to read the first post on this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...alaxy-s7-herolte-stock-to-android-12.4201187/
Although it is directed to another case (going from stock to LOS), but required steps are the same. In case of questions feel free to let me know.
Tools you need:
Update to latest TWRP recovery: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxys7.html
Latest LOS 19 build by Ivan: https://mega.nz/file/OHxwkQxB#sd4QvHzIjmhQEfL0Yt0qkhvMmwT_t7nsz7z04cOWW9g

Xabu: You're not helping the dev, neither the community. I know it is frustrating, when the same questions are asked over and over again, but learn to deal with your anger a better way. Believe me, you'll be the first one benefitting from it.

Show your wisdom and not your "knowledge" .... (BTW It is not very wise to recommend beta releases to anyone.)

Magisk v24.0 is a beta release....still in development.
Is it? Searched quite a while to get a separate list of stable and beta releases, but didn't find any. And because it is listed on the developer's github I expected it to be a stable release.
BUT...since my system was quite new and today a lot of things came together (new LOS and Magisk build + new BitGapps package) I decided to do a clean flash again. Everything fine except the developer options aren't opening or are closing and going back to previous menu instantly. Although safetynet check is allright, I'm somehow having the impression this isn't ROM, but Magisk related.
Going to investigate any further tomorrow.

Magisk v23 is latest stable, and is working fine with this ROM. And passes SafetyNet without extra modules.

It's interesting in the changelog of v24:

"[General] Support Android 12"

So huh. v23 is not supposed to work in A12? It does for me?
It is working, but it depends on your (or apps) requirements.
Some banks are fighting the workaround really hard and root is detcted in some cases. Although a few workarounds exist it comes down to your own preferences in the end whether to live with an outdated app, usage of flightmode or using the zygisk method.

Thank you for your endless energy! :D
I can confirm that the developer options bug isn't occuring any longer. Don't know if it is due to your implementation of the LOS setup wizzard, but although system and apps are configured I still have a message in statusbar wanting me to complete setup. When you click on it data transfer from an old device or backup is coming up. Same was happening with the release from 27th.
But it might be essential to know that I have BitGapps configured to use the Google setup wizzard. Maybe there's the conflict.
Everything else is working fine and smooth.

That message is related to gapps setup and not os setup itself

Since my birthday is tomorrow I decided to release a little surprise build. Here is a brief changelog:
    - Updated libexynosdisplay from BSP to comply with some android 12 changes
    - Removed unused build.prop entries
    - Fixed few selinux denials related to hwc props
    - Improved UI performance and stability
    - Cleaned up source
    - Removed more unneeded patches for device support
    - Synced with LineageOS source

Im aware of Seedvault issue curently present and im working on a fix for it.
I wanted to release something as a gift from me to everyone using this rom and supporting this project throughout the years. Keeping older phones alive and up to date is really fun hobby and I don't think I would've kept doing it if it wasnt for all of the support from the comunity.

Once again big thanks to everyone who helped cover the build serve cost and coffee.

Enjoy new build and stay safe
Happy birthday to you Ivan 🎉, Thank you for the update. Enjoy your weekend and Stay safe!

Here we go new build is up and here is the changelog (I also "fixed" mess google made with phone services notification which was affecting a lot of devices and wasnt device or rom specific)
    - Switched to new libperfmgr power hal which can be configured from /system/vendor/etc/powerhints.json
    - Adapted DT2W to new power hal
    - Muted phone services gps notif (Thanks google really appreciate you breaking random things for everyone)
    - Improved battery life and performance
    - Cleaned up all of leftover patches that were used by legacy power hal
    - Synced with LineageOS source

This update has new power hal which took quite a long time to get working properly
It also outperforms old one and battery life is also better with it since it handles power management way better
Huge thanks to everyone who supported this project and got me coffee while working on this thing

Also huge thanks to everyone who donated and helped me cover the build server cost as they are the reason this project is still alive

Enjoy new build and stay safe

As always huge thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped me cover the build server cost which is one of reason why this project is still alive keeping s7 up to date with software, New power hal will improve things even further so i cant wait to release next build with it

    LineageOS 19.1 for herolte

    Code:
    /*
    * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
    */

    -

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
    a) Logcat
    b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
    c) data/tombstones
    d) dmesg

Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)

Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32
Also make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support

If you want to use Magisk use latest Magisk Canary or Magisk 24.1, there is bug in 24.3 that was fixed after its release that prevents zygisk from working on some devices with 3.18 kernel

    18
Well here are some progress update of whats happening behind the scenes.
Ive given 4.4 kernel from 8895 another go and got even further in porting it to 8890 devices this time around.
Mali drivers are ported so is decon (display and graphics stack is up)
I also managed to port audio drivers, buttons and their backlight.
UFS storage drivers were somewhat pain but i got them to work too
and there is tons of small stuff like fp sensor, thermal driver and misc

Tho im not sure it makes too much sense to do this as 4.4 kernel is eol too at least it has full bpf support which i got working on 8895 devices
Other than that there is not too much going on right now, There are few selinux policies that will have to be dealt with and im still dealing with audio config
tho i could only notice echo and not robotic voice some people noticed so that leads me to believe it could be related to weird modem missmatches

I might release another quick build this month with few audio related improvements
No etas as i do this in my free time, And as always thanks to everyone who supported this project so fat as thanks to them this project and device are still alive on latest android version even 6 years after its release (fun fact s7 series was announced on 21. feb. 2016.) so this is somewhat of a s7 birthday update on progress
