LineageOS 19.1 (Android 12L) [Signature Spoofing][OTA updates] for S7 Exynos

Hello.
Great ROM, but still there's a main issue (at least on my SM-G930F) : phone call quality is awful barely understandable with some people. Metalic mono ultra low quality sound with frequent crackling noises.

Dont know where to look to provide some debug stuff, but would gladly do it to get rid of this issue.

This "robot voice" in phone calls started in Jan-18 release. Earlier versions didn't have it. There is this bit in the change log:

"- Moved audio hal to vendor"

Perhaps @Ivan_Meler could try to revert that change, if it is the one causing it?

Really during phone call, the other person sounds like Cylon from Battlestar Galactica. That's quite neat effect, but sometimes makes understanding difficult.

I do not get any voice issues on either WiFi calls (e.g. Whatsapp) or using SIM. Speaker mode sometimes has echo at other end...depends on how much background noise and how close speech is to bottom microphone. So for me voice is easily usable and everything else on the ROM is excellent...thanks Ivan!

I can confirm that. That's why I went back to LOS 18.1, where there is no problem.

Since you liked the post above, i assume you don't have the problem on your device. Can it be related to different CSC or MODEM/CP?

I can also confirm this.
It sounds like sound traveling through a sheet of medal. Very metallic and very distorted

In TWRP you need to format to get rid of previous encryption.
Then instal and no password.

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
a) Logcat
b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
c) data/tombstones
d) dmesg


Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)
NikGapps, BiTgapps and FlameGapps were tested and working tho BitGapps and FlameGapps performed better due to more up to date packages

Make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support

I get Always the same issue:
WLAN turns off while using / Display is Black after a while don't use:

Case:
I use this device as Monitor for security cam, i turn Display on, connect and watch.

After a short time display turns black and I hear the voice from security cam.

But after a while WLAN turns off and it's not possible to turn it on without reboot

Maybe anyone can helping for this old device.

Did you try disabling wifi and then enabling it again? Maybe try to switch to flymode in between.
Maybe it would be helpful to enable data usage mode always on to have the possibility to switch between networks just in case wifi signal drops. There should be a setting for this in dev options.
Regarding the display turning off I have no clue, hopefully someone else is able to give you a better feedback.

I try enable Fly mode and enable wifi.
Currently it works, if I get this issue again I write it down.

I'm very happy to see how good it works and that this android version runs on this old awesome device. Awesome

It's designed to be a feature you can select for yourself according to your preferences.
Go to settings -> system -> keys and scroll down to find the relevant toogle switch.
