I think you gave too less information that anyone can help you. And i do not remember that anyone else had the same problem with this rom, so it might not be the roms issue.
Is your sim working in another device / is another sim working on your s8. Is your sim working with stock rom?

Hello.
It has a long-standing problem for lineageos:LED notification not working after a long time used.(charging/message/app LED light)When that happens,You can not open/toggle it in settings-Notifications-Notification light.(Only have to reboot phone again)

Ivan, is it possible in any way to make the device enter deepsleep when you enable the always on display?
if you enable it, the cpu just goes down to the lowest setting but not deepsleep anymore. which consumes a lot more energy.

besides that, really great work. i'm so happy with my old s8 now.

Here is another build, with quite a few changes
- Added WireGuard kernel implementation
- Added QR code reader quick settings toggle
- Improved device performance and stability
- Improved A-GNSS (A-GPS) Lock speed
- Exposed device hw revision to settings
- Improved fast/slow charger detection
- Improved double tap to wake detection on some devices
- Remaped bixby to menu so long hold, short hold and wake actions work
- Long hold on bixby is now handling multitasking
- Improved bluetooth stability
- Synced with LineageOS source

Im curently working on getting hwc to work whih takes a bit of time especially to debug on s8 with broken screen but im making some progress.
Big thanks to everyone who donated and helped cover the build server cost and got me coffee
Enjoy new build and stay safe

I can't install FlameGapps on latest version(19/5/2022).
- Android: 16.1.0, SDK:28, ARCH: arm64
! Wrong android version detected
This package is for android: 12.0 only
Your ROM is Android: 16.1.0
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file 'external_sd/LINOS/FlameGApps-12.0-basic-arm64-20220412.zip'

Worked flawlessly on the old versions. Same installation process as always.

###### LATER EDIT #######
Something weird happened. I made sure I fully wiped the phone before installing lineageOS, but I think I messed something up.
It's working properly now!

Hey, the new build is working very well. Kinda curious about the purpose of introducing WireGuard to the kernel.

Otherwise, I am happy that remapping the bixby button is more user-friendly, rather than having to edit a text file on the root partition. But it bothers me a little that there is no option to set the button to HOME as was possible previously. I suppose I can get used to the new workflow, but it's not ideal. Is there any way that anyone has found to remap the bixby button beyond the options shown in system settings?

So I added wireguard to kernel because it provides less overhead and uses less battery in case some people want to use it on their device than if it was used by app itself, it doesn't affect those who dont use it tho.

As for remaped key this was unfortunately best i could do, adding back home would sorr of require key to be mapped as something else which makes us lose long press and wake functionality

Hi y'all!
Many, many thanks to you, @Ivan_Meler , you are doing us all a big favour!
Is device encryption supported? I got a softbrick while doing so, but it may as well be user-fault...

Best regards!

Edit: Oops, sorry, I just read, that other had the same issue, so everything is fine, it's my own fault then, have a nice day :)

Here we go, March security update is here.
LineageOS 21 builds wont get update this time around as new qpr is still being merged and fixed up
There were a lot of changes from google in their quarterly platform update soboth LineageOS codebase
and some device changes are needed for it to be on par with previous builds.

There will be april builds for it soon so it made no sense to push half baked update today.

As always huge thanks to everyone who donated to help cover the build server cost.
This project wouldnt be possible without you.

Enjoy new builds and stay safe

April security update is here, nothing more to it this time around
Unfortunately as you might have noticed patches were posted a bit later past 2 months due my schedule
Ill also fix Lineage 21 qpr merge in coming days and release update for those builds too, there were tons of changes in qpr that turned out to be a bit problematic

As alwasy huge thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped cover the build server cost.

    -

Keep in mind that some LineageOS features have not been completed yet this is not a device bug and please do not report those
in this rom thread, also do not post bug reports for known issues or bug reports without proper
    a) Logcat
    b) proc/last_kmsg (or proc/kmsg)
    c) data/tombstones
    d) dmesg

Install gapps right after installing the rom itself don't try to boot to system before that if you want to use gapps (Or wipe data before installing them)

Since most gapps didnt update for 12L yet (SDK bumped from 31 to 32) i edited falmegapps and uploaded them here use them if you cant find gapps that work on 12L https://mega.nz/folder/FFoS1IIK#XunGRNTViQY7-OZ8oQr0sg
Make sure gapps you decide to use support android 12L/12.1/Are targetting api level 32

Make sure you are using latest official TWRP before installing rom older versions do not have proper android 12 support

    Here are some progress update
Here is android 13 working with new kernel that has BPF backport which took me days to properly backport, but it will help us get better overall experience in both 12 and 13 and future android versions
I just have to resolve some wifi issues and after those are done builds will be uploaded

Huge thanks to everyone who supported this project, helped cover the build server cost and got me coffee/pizzaa for time spent working on this.

See you soon with Android 13 on S8/Note8 that are 5 years old this year
    Screenshot_20220827-123355_Settings.png

As prommised here it is Android 12, Big thanks to everyone who supported project with donations that helped cover the build server cost and get me coffee
If you want to turn off auto live display (Yellow tint) type "Live" in settings search and go to LiveDisplay
    30
here it is August security update

Nothing major in this one as i am still working behind the scenes on that huge update i talked about previously which involves rewrite of almost whole graphics and media stack (its almost finished but i still have to do a bit more testing just to make sure there is no regression)
(Im still waiting for a properly working s8/n8 listing to show up on ebay thats not overpriced so i can use it for testing as my s8 has messed up display and unfortunately import from UK turned out to be more expensive than s8 would be worth)

In other news android 13 should be released next month and since there were no major changes s8 and note8 should be running it soon after release with not too many issues and ill try to take a few days off from work to get it up and running on it once source is out

Once again huge thanks to everyone who supported this project, helped cover build server cost and got me coffee with donations.

This project wouldnt be alive without them as i do this in my free time as a hobby.

I havent posted an actual progress update in quite some time so here is some behind the scenes.
    • First of all selinux, that is actually being worked on and it should be supported in near future (Tho it needs some testing to make sure things dont break)
    • Kernel upstream and full eBPF support, thats on its way too so we wont need any hacks to make bpf work anymore which is a nice bonus + we will be able to use some nice new features like gpu monitoring which requires eBPF
    • HWC This is a big one, without revealing too much there is big progress on this behind the scenes and while it does require quite a bit of work once this is sorted we will have much better battery life and UI will be waaay smoother (2x increase at least), this and few other hals will be open sourced too once this is nearly finished so no more proprietary blobs for it
    • Keystore will also be looked into a bit further to see if there are edge cases left where some secure apps break
    • OMX again without going into too much details we will see some changes on that end and it will be open sourced
    • Camera, well ill just let this one be a surprise for now since it will require most work
There is a lot more going behind the scenes and some of those changes will take some time (Keep in mind i do this in my free time so i really cant talk about etas) but in general once most of those chanegs are up 8895 devices will be in perfect condition and once android 13 source is out it wont take too long to get it working.

Some other small notes since s8 i use to develop this rom on has broken screen (i use scrcpy to mirror screen on pc) im actually still looking into getting 8895 device, Someone offered to send one from UK but since im in EU ill have to look into import tax and stuff caused by brexit which is not fun to deal with.

And finally HUGE thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped cover the build server cost, thius project really wouldnt be possible without them, They also covered the coffee cost and some stuff like recent keystore fixes really took a long time to debug which indeed required a lot of coffee at night haha.
