Because most people only update to last official Stable ROM before moving to custom ROMs...

Many users are unaware both that the last Stable is NOT the latest, and that the last official Developer (weekly) ROM fixes issues that especially affect devices with Pie (9)+:
- later / compatible baseband,
- magnetic cover detection,
- fingerprint sensor (plus),
- screen rotation,
- call issues,
- in app calling,
- wifi
... and other improvements I may have missed...

This means moving from Stable to Developer firmware is essential for all recent custom ROMs to avoid hardware and other issues.

Latest Developer ROM (or Firmware only) is
- MIUI 10.5
- released 2019.8.29
- baseband version 660_GEN_PACK-1.214729.1.215613.1

Latest Stable ROM (or Firmware only) is
- MIUI 10.3.2
- released 2019.05.24
- baseband version 660_GEN_PACK-1.186426.1.191687.1

😛 PW

Can 100% confirm issues with 10.3.2 (magnetic cover did not work) but with 10.5. magnetic cover works fine. I thought last stable is a must. So big thanks for clarification :)

Hi, I'm experiencing internal problem with my device. Contact your manufacturer for details.
After flashing newest update for my mipad 4, I stuck at fastboot mode. Any solutions?

I would try reflashing TWRP ver 3.6 through fastboot and ensure you are using an older computer with USB 2 only or use an older USB hub plugged in to a port that is USB 2 on a device that has both USB 2 and 3. If you get a vague error about the data being too big it is not working with your computer hardware.

Then from TWRP format data and system but leave the rest and install the latest ROM from here from a microSD card in the slot.

When all else fails you could reflash the last EU ROM from the link below and hopefully start again

Hi GregEden,

Thanks for your info. I currently use the lineage-19.1-20220324-UNOFFICIAL-clover.zip with Clover Kernel-20220325-0846-los.zip and still ok with it. After i flashed the latest lineage-19.1-20220522-UNOFFICIAL-clover.zip, Seems like this kernel does not support it at all. Now i flashed back the old one, hopefully new kernel coming soon :)

As long as it is back working. BTW I have never flashed a different kernel to the one embedded in the ROM.

I just upgraded to lineage-19.1-20220517 from 18.1 and I feel the total opposite. My initial impression was how fast it was compared to 18.1 and I had no performance complaints about 18.1

@sabar_op the only issue I've noticed is that the keypad for the PIN unlock is in the bottom right corner, not centered Similarly the visual confirmation of the pin you enter is offset to the right.

Reply 2. The new builds use a 4.19 kernel and the older ones were 4.4. The old 4.4 kernels are, I think, not compatible. Sabar can answer that.

Is it? After I flashed it, I go into fastboot mode, don't know what is the reason behind.
1. Make sure you use correct and properly working TWRP. By properly working I mean there shouldn’t be any errors with any operation you do on TWRP (wipe, format, install, etc.)

2. Format data at Wipe menu then reboot the recovery first (go to TWRP screen again).

3. Then go for an advanced wipe for a clean install.

4. Lastly flash this ROM.

5. Choose Mindthegapps or whatever Nikgapps you need for your Google apps. I’ve encountered a boot loop with Flamegapps.

Good luck!

There's a minor bug: When the taskbar is hided, there are 2 white lines at the bottom. One is indicating "Gestures" and the other one is indicating hided taskbar. As far as I remember from other 12.1 versions, there should be only one (the one showing hided taskbar's long line only) in this situation.
