Which is the safest and most straightforward way?
If you've installed magisk correctly, you should have root rights, did you flash magisk via TWRP?
where to tip for the great effort u did , html6405?
Look at my signature :).
will we get an updated version of the 3.4 kernel with a fixed headphone jack?
I will try, at the moment there is really much stress at work, no time for working on updates, but I will carry on asap.

The ruin is perfect. Thank you for the super job.
I only have one problem. I can't turn it off, I tried, it always restarts.

Hi

I can't get this installed on my n8020.
-using twrp 3.5.2

I did a factory reset, and wiped system. rebooted recovery.
Installed 20.0-20221102-HTML6405-n8020.zip & then Magisk 24.1. I got go gapps installed yet.

Then I rebooted, and everything seems fine. I got "Welcome to Lineage" for 1 second, then it reboots to recovery. I also face this problem with your 19.1 build.

What could be wrong?
Regards
Gartner

Hi

I tried flashing only 20.0-20221102-HTML6405-n8020.zip. Same error
and same + kernel= error
html6405_kernel_-32a196e523a0-p4noterf (is this correct kernel?)
It says I've got p4notelte and it's a no supported device.

The only rom I can get going is
e-0.15-p-20210329-HTML6405-n8020.zip

holy crap hes back, are you the guy whos making the new kernel for our note 10.1?
Well, let's say it's complicated. It's easy to get Android to boot on mainline or android common kernel, it's difficult to get everything up and running the way it's intended. There is issues with audio, GPU and video acceleration, sensors, GPS, charging, keyboard, MHL, pen input and camera. And that's only the kernel driver side, this all needs a HAL equivalent in Android as well as you can't reuse anything from the downstream kernel. Some of those are easier to solve than others, most of them are not trivial and I'm lacking the time to dive deep into all the topics. Also, for most of this, there is no documentation at all. And let's not talk about modem support, there is progress by replicant, but last time I looked, it's far away from being solved. I'm still working on better mainline support, but progress is slow. Let's not continue this here though as this is off topic.

sorry about getting off topic, its nice to know that we are hopefully going to get mainline support someday

Hi,

here you can find my version of LineageOS 20 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
At first I want to thank @rINanDO and @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot.

This is a ALPHA build, also on the LineageOS side, so don't install it if you want a complete and stable rom and don't report my already listed bugs!

Here you can see how far everything is working for now.

N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
  • Boot
  • Bluetooth
  • Audio
  • Graphics
  • Cameras
  • Sensors
  • GPS
  • Wifi
  • USB
  • Video playback (HW/SW)
  • Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
  • consumerir transmitter
  • Stylus with gestures and hovering icon
  • RIL
  • sec_keyboard docking station
  • much more...
  • Random reboots
  • Long screenshot
  • SD-Card can't be formatted as internal storage, this will cause a bootloop
If you don't like it, reboot into recovery and type the following command:
I would recommend to use microG instead of BitGapps,
here you can find the installation instructions:
  1. Download Magisk 24.1 and flash it via TWRP (yes, flash the APK file), reboot
  2. Open Magisk and update the App (and do a reboot if it's asking)
  3. Enable Zygisk in Magisk
  4. Download and install microG installer in the Magisk manager, reboot
  5. Download and install safetynet-fix in the Magisk manager, reboot
  6. Check with a safetynet checker app and you should pass :)

If you plan to use a sim card in your device, I would recommend to disable the pin code before with another device.
In some cases the sim card becomes unusable while typing in the code.

Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

    Update 15.01.2023:
    • Synced with latest LineageOS sources
    • Set swappiness back to 100
    • Fixed SamsungDoze
    • Fixed stylus gestures
    • Moved to 3.4 kernel for n8000 and n8010
    • Fixed dock / undock behavior for docking stations

    Mine is 8010.
Try not to install any gapps.

If you read the developer's recommendation.
(Gapps, I don't recommend them, use the smallest package)
    Arm64 is completely wrong.
On my device arm32 works without error.
The developer did a very good job as always.
The arm64 is causing the error.
    Try installing without gapps.
    It should work.

Thank you for looking into it as ACC module did not work on our device, sadly.
This isn't supported in the driver yet, but give me some time to check this.

Wow, thanks. I see that kernel that you linked is from Jan 01 2023 and @html6405 has a newer kernel for N8000 Jan 13 2023, I'm guessing I should install the Jan 13 version rather? https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=337158

I see there are a lot of files in there.
Before I install the zip with TWRP, how can I backup my current kernel?

    @html6405 I just sent you €10
I was going to do €1 per month. If everyone with these devices did a monthly subscription it would be nice support for your work on this. But I decided to do rather do larger amounts once in a while so that the money doesn't mostly get eaten by PalPal fees.
The latest version of the 13th is worth testing, the developer is always making corrections. IF it's possible to back up your kernel, that's good because if something goes wrong you can go back to the old version.

arm64 is no good because you need arm32.

Here you can find a new test kernel (3.4) with fixed audio jack :).

    3
Finally fixed the wake up problem in kernel, it took some time to figure out which driver was faulty.
Only for N8000 and N8010 at the moment.

Attention: this is only a test kernel at the moment, if you want to try it, there still could be other issues.
