Not good.
Try again tomorrow.
Rest today, put it aside.
You should try installing the latest 19.1 rom.
If there are no gapps it has to go.

After a refresh, the restart problem will go away. Any day update.

Thanks for the help! Im letting it sit on the welcome animation for a little longer and will try tomorrow with the 19.1 rom instead.

The zip file should not be in the device memory.
It should be copied to the micro sd card.
This may be the problem.

Good night

Hi,
if you are on the welcome screen it is because the rom is installed, pass your finger on the screen and scroll it a little upwards, the start button is hidden.

If i want something with few bugs/the most stable, what would the best choice be? LineageOS 16?

Hi,
I don't know if anyone can help me. I'm having problems with both Gapps and Microg... When I install Gapps, the playstore service keeps giving an error and asking to close, when I install MicroG it keeps giving the message that the core services have stopped working. I've tried several times and couldn't get it to work. Note: I'm not trying to install both together ... it's just that I can't make either one work.

@html6405 Thank you very much for your work on this, it is much appreciated!!!

My N8000 is amazingly useful/functional again.

Good
Relatively stable and quite quick with NikGapps and Magisk 24.1
Youtube playback is incredibly power efficient vs NewPipe on the old Android 4.4 ROM that I was running. It runs cool and forever.

Bad
scrcpy didn't work, so I couldn't control the tablet from my PC
EDIT: It wasn't working due to old version of scrcpy. I confirmed with Galaxy S3 i9305... scrcpy 1.17 didn't work, 1.25 works.
games crashing randomly (3~7X / hour)

I would be grateful with just that, but now I'm trying your LineageOS 16 ROM.

Current test: Your LineageOS 16 ROM
I've switched to your LineageOS 16.0 ROM for N8000 with MicroG and Magisk 24.1 and it runs like an absolute dream so far, for the few hours that I've tested it, buttery smooth, stable. Additionally scrcpy works beautifully and fast on your LineageOS 16.0 ROM.

I will definitely be making a donation! EDIT: Donated!

@html6405 would it be problematic to apply the N8000 Samsung kernel patches to a 3.2 Linux kernel instead of 3.0 ? There's a lot of glibc stuff that wants a 3.2 kernel minimum. I haven't actually tried a 3.2 kernel on any android devices but I've got an Android device with a 3.4 kernel and that can run anything.

Hey,
Test this kernel, it's 3.4
Wow, thanks. I see that kernel that you linked is from Jan 01 2023 and @html6405 has a newer kernel for N8000 Jan 13 2023, I'm guessing I should install the Jan 13 version rather? https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=337158

I see there are a lot of files in there.
Before I install the zip with TWRP, how can I backup my current kernel?

@html6405 I just sent you €10
I was going to do €1 per month. If everyone with these devices did a monthly subscription it would be nice support for your work on this. But I decided to do rather do larger amounts once in a while so that the money doesn't mostly get eaten by PalPal fees.

The latest version of the 13th is worth testing, the developer is always making corrections. IF it's possible to back up your kernel, that's good because if something goes wrong you can go back to the old version.

Wow @html6405 you are something special! I backed up my kernel with TWRP and flashed your 3.4 kernel. I'm just staring at the About screen drooling looking at that 3.4 kernel!!!

So I'm currently running
lineage-16.0-20220109-HTML6405-n8000.zip
Magisk 24.1
MicroG
3.4 kernel

AMAZING!

Do you think games would be more stable with the 3.4 kernel?
My childrens games crashed about 3~7X per hour on LineageOS 20 that's why I reverted to LineageOS 16

Hi, thanks for your donation :),
the 3.4 kernel is still experimental and it could be, that LineageOS 16.0 doesn't deep sleep with it,
but it's untested by myself.
I guess that the force closings have a different nature, but it's hard to tell without testing it by my own.
But I will continue my work on the kernel and LineageOS 20 whenever I have the time for this.

Hello my friend, it's good to know that you haven't abandoned us, it's been a long time without you speaking here on the forum, I hope all is well with you.
    Any updates from you?
    Is there any improvement?

    Any updates from you?
    Is there any improvement?
    I've tried to fix:

    Code:
    03-09 16:34:18.385 1415 1415 F DEBUG : #00 pc 000059f4 /vendor/lib/hw/gralloc.exynos4.so (gralloc_perform(gralloc_module_t const*, int, ...)+192) (BuildId: 9103597dfaf8e3bcbd30e2affc18327b)
    03-09 16:34:18.385  1415  1415 F DEBUG   :       #01 pc 00008991  /vendor/lib/hw/gralloc.exynos4.so (android::hardware::Gralloc1On0Adapter::retain(native_handle const*)+336) (BuildId: 9103597dfaf8e3bcbd30e2affc18327b)

But I had no time to test enough to see if it's fixed now.

Everything is fine, I just have to work 8 - 12 hours per day and I'm struggling to find some time for android, but I try find one day per week.
I installed the LineageOS 20 rom and MicroG in my GT-N8000 and everything works well. I like the Aurora Store but just out of curiosity, is it possible to install the Google Play Store as well?.
Yes, the patched PlayStore still should work with microG (but untested by myself) and I'm using NikGapps on one of my devices without any problem.
Would it be possible for you to provide a .zip to resize the system partition so we can install gapps on this rom?
That's a good idea, I will add it to the list.
Newer packages need to much space, I'm using an older and smaller one (NikGapps).
Can't seem to set a wallpaper
Hmm just tested it, it seems to work fine here, whats exactly happening?

    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

    Hi,

here you can find my version of LineageOS 20 for our Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 devices.
At first I want to thank @rINanDO and @ChronoMonochrome for all your work which helped me a lot.

This is a ALPHA build, also on the LineageOS side, so don't install it if you want a complete and stable rom and don't report my already listed bugs!

Here you can see how far everything is working for now.

    N8000, N8010, N8013, N8020:
    • Boot
    • Bluetooth
    • Audio
    • Graphics
    • Cameras
    • Sensors
    • GPS
    • Wifi
    • USB
    • Video playback (HW/SW)
    • Tethering via USB, WIFI and Bluetooth
    • consumerir transmitter
    • Stylus with gestures and hovering icon
    • RIL
    • sec_keyboard docking station
    • much more...
    • Random reboots
    • Long screenshot
    • SD-Card can't be formatted as internal storage, this will cause a bootloop
    • Network monitoring because of missing eBPF support
If you don't like it, reboot into recovery and type the following command:
I would recommend to use microG instead of BitGapps,
here you can find the installation instructions:
    1. Download Magisk 24.1 and flash it via TWRP (yes, flash the APK file), reboot
    2. Open Magisk and update the App (and do a reboot if it's asking)
    3. Enable Zygisk in Magisk
    4. Download and install microG installer in the Magisk manager, reboot
    5. Download and install safetynet-fix in the Magisk manager, reboot
    6. Check with a safetynet checker app and you should pass :)

If you plan to use a sim card in your device, I would recommend to disable the pin code before with another device.
In some cases the sim card becomes unusable while typing in the code.

    Do you like my work?
Than you can simply hit the thanks button and consider to spend me a coffee or a beer,
I'm doing this in my free time and it also costs a lot of money to buy hardware.

    donate

    Wanna improve your sound configs?
Now you can use my app to access all boeffla sound configurations.

Finally fixed the wake up problem in kernel, it took some time to figure out which driver was faulty.
Only for N8000 and N8010 at the moment.

Attention: this is only a test kernel at the moment, if you want to try it, there still could be other issues.
