Thank you for your builds. Surely saved many when Lineage builds were on hold.Hey guys. Haven't been in this thread in a while, let alone on XDA. Just letting you guys know that I probably won't be building for this device anymore because I no longer have a use for the builds although I'm not ruling it out.
I bought an Aukey quick charge 3.0 charger and my A9 didn't like it. So much in fact that it decided to melt the charging port. I'm not sure if it was because of the charger or because of HTC's code, but regardless, it's almost inoperable.
Heh. Didn't know it was official now. Haven't been keeping up with Lineage well enough either it would seem.Thank you for your builds. Surely saved many when Lineage builds were on hold.
The A9 is now included in the list of official nightlies ( in case you haven't read the last few pages ) so there's a build coming out every week.
Hope you can fix your device and use it again.
What firmware version do you have?Hi guys ... HTC A9 One UHL ... after installing LOS phone never boots .. to OS .. just bootloader . After that cant even enter recovery (TWRP-3.1.1.0)... Any Ideas ?
I had 2.16 ... Mr CaptainThrowback told me that I need to flash 1.56/1.57 which I successfully did .. now I get Decryption Unsuccessfull whenever I boot LOS.. "Password you entered is correct but unfortunately your data is corrupt" ..What firmware version do you have?
Hmm. I've never seen that issue personally. Hopefully one of these other fine people can help you.I had 2.16 ... TWRP does not support encryption with Lineage on the A9. Not for lack of trying... Captain Throwback has posted about it both in this thread and the TWRP one. You can either keep your device encrypted, or use the boot patcher available to stop Lineage from enforcing encryption, in which case you have to flash the boot patcher every time after flashing a new Lineage build.I had 2.16 ... Actually, reading again, not sure this has anything to do with TWRP... Decryption fails booting to Lineage, not recovery ? I have not seen that error before either, in any Lineage encrypted device.Or just root with the latest Magisk Beta...

No reboots or other wired stuff.
OK. Latest update : I have managed to setup Lineage OS latest. 21Jun17 version. What I did:Actually, reading again, not sure this has anything to do with TWRP... Decryption fails booting to Lineage, not recovery ? I have not seen that error before either, in any Lineage encrypted device.
I'm glad that you resolved it yourself. But as Ultramanoid suggested, I'd recommend you use the patcher to prevent Lineage from encrypting because that still seems to be problematic on this device.OK. Latest update : I have managed to setup Lineage OS latest. 21Jun17 version. What I did:
Twrp -> Wipe -> Format Data + Format Internal Storage -> Reboot
All data on Int Storage lost : after boot LOS encrypted internal storage .. Password is not known, but a works for me now.
Hope that helps.
If you check the last few posts here, you'll see they just replied to Captain Throwback on Twitter, they said "soon"... I hope that means a few days / weeks. Is there any word from HTC as to when they will release the source code for nougat? I'm on 2.17.401.2 RUU and waiting for Lineage OS to support it.
Or on the other hand, where do I get a signed 1.56.401.70 (cidnum: HTC__034) firmware from so I can perform a downgrade with S-ON?
Hopefully by August Nougat users can flash LOS. I still haven't found a way to downgrade or flash TWRP without it formatting my internal storage so I'm sticking to the Dev Unlock ROM.If you check the last few posts here, you'll see they just replied to Captain Throwback on Twitter, they said "soon"... For the firmware, check the first post of the RUU thread, ask there if you can't find it :

Given that hTC has committed to releasing it "soon", whatever that means, I wouldn't go through the hassle of changing firmware now and then later again, and just wait at least a couple of weeks.Hopefully by August Nougat users can flash LOS. How do I downgrade to 1.5x firmware? I get the 12 RUU ERROR thing because of the whole Nougat update key deal. I've read that I need to flash a 1.x firmware to downgrade to 1.x, but how the balls am I supposed to do that when I can't flash the firmware in the first place? I'm trying to get the most out of this phone until I can upgrade to the OnePlus 5 or HTC U11 later this year. I love the feeling of stock Android with minimal BS, Sense ticks those boxes but it's just not "stock" enough imho. I feel Lineage should tickle my fancy .(as it has twice around with the OnePlus One and Galaxy SIII, which were uber easy to flash)
