Similiar to the file here this will update your device to MJ7 without wiping. However, always back-up your data.

The bootloader is locked on this version and keeping root may or may not happen. Please do your research before updating.

To use:
  • Download the file below
  • Extract the tar.md5 file
  • Flash that file in Odin

Please give credit if using this file! Thanks.

Yes - if you need to be certain everything is wiped (all data will be lost) and stock you can go this route instead: here

No this is an odin image, meant for flashing in odin if you get soft bricked and have no other options. Knox is definitely in it. I would imagine that roms will be popping up shortly to give you what you are looking for.

Ok Kool

Yea I know. I was responding to the post above. I'm on mdk so I'm not touching this with a 10 foot pole. excellent work. Can't wait till the roms start coming out.

It is indeed too soon to know. I'd imagine this will allow you to keep root, however, you have to be willing to take that chance.

I flashed it and don't seem to be having any wifi issues. Dunno about MMS.
However, it will cause you to lose root. I had half-working root which didn't really give me much due to SELinux (I couldn't remount /system, for example), so losing that wasn't a big loss.

not sure what's "half-working" root means.

"Half working" meant that I could get a "#" prompt, and could read files that I couldn't as a non-root user, but still with SELinux enforcement enabled, keeping me from doing much of anything, like mounts, etc. I started rooted on MI1 and enabled SuperSU recovery, but it didn't work for me. Probably something I did wrong, and SuperSU wasn't able to reinstall itself properly.
