For those of you that don't care about the build.prop (which isn't really useful other than to block you from using protected apps ;P)

You can grab a pre-finished update here: http://www.mediafire.com/?tyxd34teyow

You MUST flash from FRF50, or FRF72.

It will give you root + busybox + superuser

thx!
downloading...

i'll report back

Tried Haykuro's signed.zip.

I'm on T-Mobile N1, FRF50 rooted, but stock.

Get this error:

E:Error in /sdcard/signed.zip
(Status 7)

Installation aborted.

I had the same starting point, and get the same error.

OK. Sorry for my retardation . I was thinking this was something different for us with rooted N1s. I'll be patient and wait for something to come down the pipe then.

You can not have root for this update.
Rooted but stock.....DOES NOT COUNT :)
stock then flash.

Thanks for this comment.. I'm rooted on frf50... I'm assuming I should sit back n wait for a rooted package to appear or flash stock recovery unroot and then flash it?

Ill wait if there's someone gonna package it up... thanks mod.

You are right, the FRF50 zip I assumed was unrooted was in fact already rooted.
I just booted it up and saw SetCPU was still working.

Any tips how I can get to FRF50 UN-rooted? I tried the version from RomManager too, but it also had that error.

Still don't know why I have the froyo rooter from cyan on my sdcard then ...

Which recovery to use? Can I use cw or does it need to be RA. Version?

Thanks,
Paul

EDIT: Just saw that RomManager updated Clockwork Recovery. It now has FRF72!

So the newest update from Haykuro http://twitter.com/haykuro still doesn't support root yet correct?
