Would you want to add Nitroglycerin's Evil Fascinate 3.1 to this list since it's actually a ROM and not a theme despite being in the theme section?

the op chose to put it in the themes sections as he felt it wasnt development

imo it seems like more of a theme than a rom...but if the op has it moved in here (development section)...I will of course list it

Seriously, I just went cross eyed with all the conflicting information I just read over a period of three days, in threads that the proceses or files and updates change daily and with no explanation of how or why or the effects of that on the rest of the elements needed to flash anything correctly.

Would someone PLEASE either explain or point me to the thread where this IS explained with current information:

What roms run with which kernals, radio's and mods?

What do you need to flash a rom? just rom and kernal?rom kernal and radio? all three plus a recovery each time?

Why are the touchwiz based kernals? is that to show that you can only use those with roms in which you use or have touchwiz installed?

what the hell are the radio's and mods for as well?

I've literally oversaturated my brain on this, and given that I'm fluent in windows mobile, in depth, you can understand why I am so backwards at the moment.... this is a whole different world, and I've litterally gone from guru to nood in all of 5 seconds...

THANK YOU FOR YOU PATIENCE, AND UNDERSTANDING, AND FOR THE CLARIFICATION!

I have spent since friday afternoon reading like a madman, and now need a functioning device for work on monday and I'm running out of time trying to figure all this out...

Much thanks once again...

Matt

its impossible (or at least really hard) to expect to be up to speed on what to do with an android phone on day 1 (or 2 or 3) especially coming from a different os

theres a lot of information out there (kinda all over the place) to get you started...but really if you are concerned about having a working phone then keep it stock for awhile, while you learn the ins and outs of roms/etc

Thank you so much... I appreciate it A LOT... it's rather humbling and stupifying at the same time to from knowing how to tear apart the windows mobile OS with my eyes shut, to suddenly being back at sqare one, and being the kid on the block... thanks again to eveyone for their reply's

EDIT: The post you linked has been marked OUTDATED... hence my frustration that it's impossible to tell what the current files and instructions are if nobody is revising and updating the OP's with the current info!!!! And now I'm totally at a loss... again.
