this case wraps the phone giving a PDA look, it's made of hard plastic, it has metal buttons (they aren't actually buttons), it gives a good feeling when holding the phone, but offers little protection in my opinion, and can be little cracks and crevices for dust to get into (lines on the back and under the front), the case is ok but I'm not a huge fan of the looks, if they made it without the front I would like it better, you also loose the button backlights because of the metal buttons.

This case does have some pros for example it has a raised edge so the plastic goes over the glass giving protection to the glass similar to a silicone case, it has a anti-fingerprint paint, however its ugly, glossy, slippery, and the sides move when squeezing it giving a uneasy feeling like the phone will fall out even though it's pretty hard to remove the phone.

This is my favorite case now, its nearly perfect, it has raised edges over the screen, slim but still would offer some nice protection, no plastic trim pieces to worry about, the material makes the buttons more firm so you don't accidentally press them, back has a nice back texture to it (like thousands of lines) for anti-slip, great feeling when holding it instead of round corners they added a rectangle that goes around making it great to hold, doesn't mess with the tempered glass either...

Has anyone got the above case, I ordered this weekend because they are on deal with free glass protector bundle. Even cheaper using the app.

I have it, I didn't use the screen protector that came with it though since I already have an expensive nilkin glass protector, but that case might look/work better using it's included glass since it's made to fit in the gap

Have anyone here tested metal cases? Are they good at shock absorbing? What about the design? Are they scratched easily? What's your idea?

I haven't seen many metal cases , I have one that has a aluminum bumper/frame, but plastic back, I liked the aluminum feel but the plastic was not so good and scratched all up, as for durability / scratching I guess it depends on metal / paint / design, I don't think a metal case would offer much protection vs a silicon tpu case since there is no absorption with metal, force would probably shatter the glass.

GKK Ultra Thin Armor Case Hybrid PC phone Case For Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 .

After 37 days delivery to Ireland, I finally received the case.

The free glass bundle is not an extra glass for the device. The case fits the phone fine, with only tiny slits on the back and front where the two pieces meet. The case kind of feels slippery in the hand! (My nilkon case had better grip).

The protective glass fits the slot in front and doesn't cover all the phone. Haven't put the glass on yet, want to make sure I going to use the case. Plus the normal screen protector is still in good condition after 6 months of use.

Edit: - Actually I like this case and put on the Glass Protector as lip on the cover near screen was to deep without it! It was also easy to put on with no bubbles left, but some did appear but a good rub got rid of them.

Note:- Male sure you have the case on first, so you get the position of glass correct.
