IMO Fieldrunners 2 really looks beautiful on the high PPI screen. Plus it's just all-around fun to play. I had the first one on my iPhone but never bought the 2nd one before.

OP, with all due respect, you might just be stark-raving mad. Why are you dumping all of your apps on your home screens? Are you aware that the Android operating system has an app drawer?

I have the Nova Launcher going and I have only 3 homescreens enabled and really only use 1. The app drawer is where I have defined categories (e.g. 'Media' or 'Games') for my apps. My homescreen is limited to providing quick access to the apps I use VERY FREQUENTLY (e.g. 'Tasks', 'Maps', 'Messaging') and for the widgets which relay the most important information to me, such as 'To Do' lists, which use the Google Tasks API.

I can't begin to understand your approach.
I like placing everything on the homescreen for quick access to apps. I have the app drawer setup with multiple tabs too... one for all sorted alphabetically, one tab for system, one tab for downloads, one tab for new, and one tab for widgets. I have more apps installed than the ones on the homescreen... the ones in the pictures are the most used or favorites.

I have it set to swipe down on the homescreen to reveal notifications, swipe up to reveal app drawer, and pinch to preview all 4 screens. I used to use widgets, but I feel my phone is faster without them, so I just use a simple homescreen setup. Sometimes I add screens for widgets, but I end up deleting them because I prefer to use the full app for most tasks.

I also started using ongoing notifications for my favorite apps because sometimes it sets them as a higher priority so it keeps them from closing out automatically, and seems to make them run faster. I don't mind scrolling past them to see other notifications like texts and e-mail.

One question, considering you recommend these specifically for Nexus 7v2.
Are all these apps compatible with Android 4.3?

Because I can't say that they can be a "Must Have" if they'll crash or only work 50% of the time.
I'm not sure, but I try to only install apps that have a good track record of timely updates... I have noticed many being updated for 4.3 over the last few weeks, and I imagine all of them will be soon if they are ones that are causing issues.
