I actually regret it. Everyone thought JB would be an even better of ICS, but its a whole new set of issues, that when they are finally worked out, another troublesome ROM will be released so the cycle continues!

Mine:
And I'm on jelly bean

Maybe you disabled the system app face unlock.

Well thanks to the people that told me face unlock was still available, I found the apk in root explorer, installed it, and it works again!

Ok... i've receive my tablet 2 days ago, and i've receive 2 update: one for the .30 and the second to Jelly Bean. I've done the first one, but when the second update popup, i've decide after 5min in front of the tablet to process, with the know of the risk.

And after 2 days nows (running time of 49h), no glitch, no reboot, no sleep of death, nothing. Run very smooth, charge real fast (amazing, take only approx 2h to charge from 24% to full charge). The only thing append, is IF the screen is up AND the charge is in progress, I see a big OSD icon of the battery to indicate the state of the charge.

Otherwise, all run great. I've disable the GPS and the Bluetooth because i'm not using it. I have no dock, no need to root or unlock the bootloader because i'm not using these features.

I updated to jelly bean and now having random reboot problem.
Yesterday night 11:30 pm I put the tablet into sleep mode and at 11 am this morning I check uptime it says 9 hours
Then I went to check battery usage, here what's I got:

Do you see the "break" very in the graph?
So basically it rebooted itself at night while I wasn't using. Why does it do that? It didn't shutdown, but rebooted, and I even think it did shutdown for about an hour and then turned on again.

Hi, I a few days ago complained to the Asus tech service through their webpage because of the bugs in JB firmware. My email was directed to the Asus service centre of my country, Hungary. First they answered the usual thing: hard reset would help, etc. But to my second mail, in which I detailed some malfunctions, they wrote that 1. they don't know when will a new, bugfixed version be issued; 2. if I don't want to wait for it the centre is ready to flash back the ICS firmware, free of charge.

I haven't decided yet what to do, but the thing why I'm sharing the story with you is: IT PROVES THAT THERE IS A WAY BACK TO ICS, also for non rooted, non unlocked devices, like my one.

We just should figure out HOW...

Or they should tell us how

Is the transformer Pad TF300 the first official tablet to have jellybean with the tablet UI as opposed to the phone UI? Perhaps that's why it isn't as smooth as the nexus 7 and has some issues?

Asus just changes dpi to switch between phone ui to tablet ui , so I don't think it is the reason. Maybe Asus need to work on a new kernel.

Hello all, I'm from the evo3d forums, and i just got my tf300t and only have 2 questions ...how do I know/check what my current firmware is? Also, there is a pending firmware update but I am not sure what it is for...I'm guessing its jellybean but after seeing this thread I am hesistant to download it so I'm curious to know if there is any way to know what the update is for without actually doing it, that little firmware message keeps popping up and its starting to freak me out...the suspense is killing me lol someone please advise
