Oh my god! So embarrassing. I had lgmobile blocked in my hosts file after I followed a tutorial the other day about connecting to my phone through a little server or something. Never unblocked it. Grrrrrrrr!

Did you try to flash the H860 kdz on your H850 device? Do I get it right, only device specific kdz can be flashed? If i have H830, so only i can flash the H830kdz, not kdz from other versions???

Do not try to flash H850 OR H860 on H830 model.
I do not know if it will brick your phone. But i do brick my G3,,G4 phone when i flashed wrong kdz.

Is it possible to add root in kdz firmware? some one add root access in LG tot firmware, and it works fine.. Just do not know how they convert tot to kdz.

It's possible and someone do that, but still now possible for LG G5.

I wonder if we can use the tool ourselves on the H830 to build the TOT? My phone is dead but I'll try using the tool to see if I have any success. I'm assuming if he was able to get the H850 it'll work on H830.

which variant do you have ?

Are you now bricked ? In which status ?

If you have Download mode alive you can try for sure !!!!

I'm not bricked. I have an H830. Still haven't unlocked or anything. I use a Note 4 for day to day stuff until we get root so my G5 is a test vehicle for me. How do I get into download mode?

oh, simply Power off H830 .

then Pressing Vol Up connect device to your pc (LG driver suppose hust installed before...)

and wait Download Mode appears. Done

I get an error saying Card Not Found when attempting to use their tool. I have the new drivers properly installed and recognized on device manager. Not sure if anyone else has success. They have also posted this link which indicates some support for G5 models.

Not sure if this website is legit or somewhat shady though...

Our tool not support H850 H830. But we add this in 1-2 weak - we need one original firmware with dll for check.
