All roms have LED notifications and FP gestures working which were the only bugs before to be resolved. The only feature missing in all custom roms compared to stock is the switch which enables ultimate power saver mode . Then there are some bugs like video recording playback is not working in stock camera (need footej camera for that) and after enabling airplane mode, reboot is needed sometimes to make calls and sms. Custom roms are much better compared to stock in terms of performance and battery backup and the best roms according to me are Lineage OS, AICP (unofficial), Legend rom, Aim rom and RR. :good:
The only disturbing bug is the airplane mode bug

So what is the final choice? I mean the most ideal ROM, although there will not be 100% ideal ROM, i mean what is the best Custom Rom in Battery, and performance?

Second thing, Nougat custom roms, or Oreo custom roms? which one to choose?

Currently I am on AOSPEXTENDED V 4.6, and yesterday i've tried crdroid, but it took too long time to boot, so i hate it.

Please, suggest me a better rom than AOSPEXTENDED 4.6

checkout Resurrection Remix Rom you will not miss any feature.
You will also get Better battery life and performance. Resurrection remix 5.8.5 is the latest build.
Oreo based Roms are in Alpha stage so better stay in Nougat rom.
If boot time take longer than usual in CrDroid rom then press the Home button, it will finish the boot process.

Thank you sir for your reply. Ok i will try Resurrection Remix Rom today and i hope it will not make me disappointed :D

I will follow instruction to get the FP gestures work, as i will first flash lineage then RR Rom.

But last question please, RR rom or CrDroid? ;)

feel free to ask,
you can flash it over any lineage OS based rom in my opinion, Because I dirty flashed Resurrection Remix rom over CrDroid and got Fp gestures working fine. https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...om-resurrection-remix-5-8-5-pranay-7-t3685229
My choice is Resurrection Remix rom

Keeping in mind my main concern is battery, second thing is the smoothness of OS

CrDroid and Resurrection remix are based on same Lineage os.
I'm using Resurrection Remix Right now. No plan to change the rom until Oreo based Resurrection remix arrives, [for review I tried few popular Roms, After all I selected Resurrection Remix rom- Because it is the best]

# For Batter you will get proper Battery saver inbuilt.
# Change the Animation scale and animation duration value for visual smoothness and performance improvement.

Many thanks for your great efforts sir. No wonder I am stuck to my beloved Lenovo P2 as long as there are helpful guides that explain in details every piece of info to new members, like you sir :good:

I recently checked a lot of reviews of different ROMs, I'm currently torn between ViperOS & Resurrection Remix.
Can you please tell me which is the best based on the below priority list?

- closest to stock (most compatible)
- best battery life
- best performance

Features don't really matter to me, since I'll be installing systemless Xposed via Magisk anyway.
I believe ViperOS to be faster than RR & generally lighter on resources, but not sure after reading this thread.

Many thanks for the advice! ;)

Go with RR rom :) You will not regret believe me, as i was also hesitated which rom to choose, but i am assuring after installing RR, that it is the most ideal rom till this moment. I will stick to it untill Oreo RR is developed
