Looks pretty sweet and it's gingerbread. Wonder why it's not on here?Does anyone try UltimateDroid rom in this Link : UD ?![]()
SkyRaider Sense 3.5 gets my vote. It is by far the smoothest, most stable Sense ROM I've used. Plus, the dev is coming out with a new version any day now and it's going to have some new, allegedly never-before-seen features. It's going to have some stuff from gingerbread and Sense 2.0, despite being based on froyo. It's all HTC Sense, has customizable pulldown widgets (right now you edit it in a text file, but I think the new version might have a CM7-style configuration option). The new version will also have a configuration menu, a-la CM7. I don't know if it will have built-in gestures, but there are gestures apps. What ROM would you all recommend if I wanted the following:
HTC gallery
HTC camera/video cam
HTC clock (alarm clock,timer,stopwatch, etc..)
HTC Hub access (could live without, but would be nice)
customizable pulldown power widget (gps toggle, wifi, bt, data, flashlight, etc..)
awd launcher, or similar sense launcher that allows me to customize the app drawer (list, horizontal grid, vertical grid)
gestures.
Any good recommendations? I really like HTC camera, gallery, and clock most of all. However, coming from a Moto Droid, CM6/7 have really spoiled me when it comes to customization and features. I'm having a hard time finding the best of both worlds.
I welcome your opinions and recs!
Thanks for the reply that was a very thorough response. I too agree that CM7 is awesome, and I loved it on my Moto Droid running Launcher Pro.SkyRaider Sense 3.5 gets my vote. Also, I would recommend trying LauncherPro over ADW. I keep hearing how great ADW is, but to me, it's slow, just like stock and Zeam. LauncherPro is super fast on my Incredible and has TONS of customizable features. Why anyone would just a different launcher, I don't know. I guess if you desperately want a transparent app drawer, which only seems to slow things down.
CM7 has sooo many awesome features that I have not found in any other ROMs, and is definitely what I would go with if I preferred vanilla over sense, which I have tried so hard to do but can't, but I keep coming back to SkyRaider. Just look at the 3.5 thread and see how many people keep viewing and replying to it because they are so excited about 4.0. I personally can't wait.
My two cents.
The OFFICIAL sense widgets actually are not available with LauncherPro, but it includes its own widgets that look almost exactly the same. Although, in my opinion, they are better because they don't have crazy big images and text on them like the stock widgets do. Plus, if you buy the premium version, you can even re-size the widgets. Or you can increase the number of rows on your home screen, and you can tell widgets universally to either fill out the new rows, or to maintain their original size. It's nice.Skyraider is a Sense ROM so I'm 99% sure you'd have the Sense widgets even if you're using a different launcher.
UpdatedSkyraider 4.0 and CM7 official need to be updated in the list.
Could you please update my ROMs on the list? I sent you the update info almost a month ago. Let me know if you need me to resend.Updated![]()
Apologies. I read it, decided to procrastinate and ended up forgetting about it.Could you please update my ROMs on the list? I sent you the update info almost a month ago. Let me know if you need me to resend.
Trust me, I know all about procrastinationApologies. I read it, decided to procrastinate and ended up forgetting about it.
Updated.
Yeah it would be nice if there was a better format for organizing ROM's. A forum really isn't the best place to do it, it'd be nice if xda created a sub-section of their website like this.I think we should have a "wiki" of sorts where all of us can edit it. That way, it's easier for POQbum (less work) and the Developers can update it when they're done with a new update/rom.
