Doesn't work because it doesn't recognize the mouse press as a touch, so you can't get into controls to change it.

If I can figure out how to transfer the settings from my tablet to the AFTV it might work.

I tried it a while ago and successfully switched to moga controller mode (you can send touch event with coordinates via adb - requires a bit of guressing, but works).

Nonetheless, moga mode still didn't work with the xbox360 controller i was using.

Was there an update to support other controllers than just the moga?

Has anyone tried this app? Seems to fake a moga controller.

I just added an entry to the document for Fox News on the FireTV Stick (don't have a regular FireTV but I would think it would work). All I needed was a settings.apk to add a bluetooth mouse, my DirectTV account (works with any supported cable provider), and I was able to stream Fox News Channel live.

There is one android app that I would really love to use on the fire stick. I think it needs a mouse since I can't navigate with the remote. The problem is that I don't have any Bluetooth mouse. I have tried to download settings.apk and use other android/iOS devices as a remote through various mouse apps but nothing works. Is there any possible way to navigate this app without having to purchase another mouse?

The Remote Mouse for FireTV app works surprisingly well on my iPhone, I believe there is an Android app also.

The fire Tv app does not work for apps that need a touchscreen interface.

But i have found one that works. Wukong remote mouse app for android works perfectly. it has a mouse simulation feature which does not require bluetooth and simulates a touch screen so that any app can work.

I'll say it again, Remote Mouse for FireTV works on my iPhone 5S with my FireTV Stick: the app allows my phone to function as a d-pad, touchpad and keyboard. I have not tried the Android version.

Are there any free apps for iOS which have the keyboard/mouse capabilities ? I have the Logitech keyboard K400r which worked flawlessly until my last update and now
the fire tv doesn't recognize it.. Nor sure if i got a lemon or something else is screwed up.

Access to GDoc

How can we get access to Gdocs for APK access. I have sent multiple access request, but have not heard back. Thank you for all your work on this.

Has anyone had any success using one of the TV launchers available? Tried a few but no success, including Simple TV Launcher, launcher for TV & handy smart TV launcher. I use Kodi but was looking for a main launcher with a TV type interface.

I've tried Halauncher and it really is great. I love the way you can customise it and group together similar apps - TV apps, movie apps etc. Makes for a really user-friendly home entertainment interface.

Are there any others people have had success with? I've tried so many which don't work.

I installed popcorntime last night. Works very well but needs mouse or touch input. I've been using droidmote for my firetv since I got root, so that worked for me.
Droidmote works well but you have to change between touch and the game control input of the app based on which screen on the firetv is active.

I'd just like to add that I got Tasker working on FireTV awhile ago but did not know about this list here (I posted it to a similar thread on reddit) there is a bit of a procedure you need to to go make it work:

Yes, the Tasker works on FireTV. I've just added it to the list at the top of this forum.
    What you have to do:
Get an apk of Tasker. Either get the free one from Google Play store, or get the one you paid for off your (rooted) Android device. Guides on how to do this are all over the place. Also you can directly purchase it from Tasker's website.
Use this: http://forums.crackberry.com/androi...ding-google-maps-google-play-services-914930/[1] to patch your apk of Tasker so that it doesn't need GMaps to run. This is crucial, because otherwise FireTV will reject it (as it doesnt have Google Maps API).
Sideload your modified apk to your FireTV
Issues: So far almost everything works like a charm. The one thing that you cannot do on the FireTV (besides root actionsnow you can!) is build scenes. If you try to edit/build a scene, the app crashes. You can, however, import scenes you've created on another device, and use them with the "Show Scene" action. It seems that full screen scenes crash it, though. I have had success displaying Overlays and Dialogs, though.
This should open up a whole world of possibilities on the FireTV...

    Droid edit
    Playon
    Quadrant
    Vplayer
    All work for me.
