I thought I would see what apps people use and their results on battery performance. Perhaps a list of battery hungry apps could also help some G4 owners improve their results. I know that there are other factors that come into play, screen, data etc, but let's try to keep this app oriented. Some are more than others.

In my experiences here are a few apps that will drop you down a few percent rather quickly:

Top Eleven 15. ++
Fun Run 2. ++
Snapseed +

More + = bigger drain

Mobile data and GPS. Turn them off (you can turn them on quickly any time you need them) and you'll get greatly increased battery. Overnight I lose 8% with them on and only 1 to 2% when off.

If you shut mobile data and gps off on any phone you'll get drastically increased battery life. You'll also have a phone that is mostly useless :silly:

For those that actually have a Facebook account I'd recommend not installing the official Facebook or Facebook messenger at all.

Instead uninstall both of those and use Facebook Lite instead, in this 1 application you can use the messaging service just like the older versions of Facebook. It's less resource hungry than the original one.

..Sent from an impeccable LG G4 on Verizon..

Lg Health (which I disabled right away)
Telegram (which I disabled all notifications, at the cost of lost functionality_
Google play services: This always eats up atleast around 15% of my charge. I dunno what the hell it's doing
Android os and Android System: These two eat up another 25%.

for me, keeping Wifi on will drop 30% charge during the night. I guess because those two programs are using internet all the time for some unknown maintenance reason. for comparison, keeping mobile data on only uses around 5% over night.

What's more, battery usage is inconsistent. sometimes it's frugal, while other times it's like a voracious monster. the same patterns goes for overheating; sometimes burns like a furnace without a single active app, and sometimes runs coll even during games

I've grown quite weary of this ****ty phone, and no updates are released to fix these problems.
