Viber was the drainer on my G4 .... something like 10 % bat in 5 minutes ... thing is it didn´t appear as such name ....only found out after installing GSam battery monitor ....

For those that actually have a Facebook account I'd recommend not installing the official Facebook or Facebook messenger at all.

Instead uninstall both of those and use Facebook Lite instead, in this 1 application you can use the messaging service just like the older versions of Facebook. It's less resource hungry than the original one.

For even better results you can install tinfoil for facebook , it's basically an app that opens up the web version of facebook therefore no running processes or services.

Dominations kills my battery and makes the phone very warm. Seems to continue for a little bit even after its closed.
